Satisfaction for Your Soul – Beloved Women – October 31, 2019
“For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.” (Psalm 107:9 ESV)
Have you ever had that feeling like something was missing? I mean, everything is fine in your life but there’s this pull in your spirit that something is just off. Although your relationships are flourishing, your children are healthy, and your finances are steady; there’s still this feeling in your soul of well . . . . emptiness.
I get that feeling every now and again. When I was younger I was not really sure what to make of those feelings. However, as I’ve grown in my relationship with the Lord over the years I know exactly what those feelings mean. Many times they are a reminder that the best life here on earth does not compare to the soul-satisfying love we find in Jesus Christ.
The perfect life is not enough. It never will be. In fact, it never was supposed to be. That emptiness and dissatisfaction with life is God’s call. It’s His reminder that He is the more we need and He is the only One who can truly fulfill us. What’s on your heart today Beloved. I encourage you to find all that you need in Jesus Christ.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for providing all my needs and fulfilling my deepest need for You. I pray I continue to seek You for all my needs, satisfaction and fulfillment. You are able. In Jesus Christ Name, I pray. Amen.
How has God helped to fill the voids and empty places in your life?
