Nothing Can Separate You from the Love of Christ – Beloved Women – June 27, 2019
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39 ESV
Where the Gospel speaks of our victory, and rising back up to the right fellowship with God, it also speaks to the enemies’ future destruction. He loses, and in a final attempt, he is now trying everything he can to get us off course. But guess what? It’s too late. The Gospel has secured our position as sons and daughters of God and nothing can ever take that away.
As a result of the finished work of Jesus on the cross, there is nothing the enemy can do to separate us from Christ. So even under attack, even during trials, and tests of all kind, we can experience the peace that the Gospel gives us knowing we have something the enemy can never take away: the everlasting, unchanging, powerful, life-giving, love of our Heavenly Father.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the power of your love. Help me to always remember how loved and cherished I am in you. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
