50 Inspirational Sayings to Lift Your Spirits

Leigh Ann Thomas

One of the greatest joys in the Christian life is drawing spiritual nourishment and inspiration from the Word of God. In Scripture, God has given us everything we need to live for Christ and walk in holiness (2 Peter 1:3).

In addition, God provides the gift of learning through the knowledge and inspirational sayings of others. How inspiring to peer over the shoulders of those who have gone before us—those who have learned the deep things of God through great struggle and difficulty.

Others have dedicated their lives to intensely studying the Holy Scriptures and have been gifted with the ability to inspire and teach. Whether from the pens of spiritual giants like C.S. Lewis and Elisabeth Elliot, or from today’s faithful warriors such as Linda Dillow, Randy Alcorn, and John Piper, God continues to work and move through His people.

May you find comfort, joy, and encouragement from the following collection of inspirational sayings. And may the countless ways God works in the human heart be a precious reminder of His desire to grow and mature each of us to be more like Jesus (Ephesians 2:10).
