Cultivating a Surrendered Heart - Beloved Women - November 30, 2018
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. – Luke 9:23 ESV
My kids have recently been talking about what they want to be when they grow up and asking me and my husband what we wanted to be when we were kids. You can see the excitement in their eyes as they discuss and think of all the possibilities. God has plans and a purpose for each of our lives.
We don’t have to worry or be jealous of others, God will show us and direct our every step. We only need to trust and surrender and let Him be God over every aspect of our lives. He will use each of us for His glory.
It is not always easy but it is the call on each of our lives. We must ask ourselves what are we holding onto or what is keeping us from giving it all to Him. We can’t give part of our heart to God; He wants it all. Purpose today to say Lord use me and may your purpose and will be done in my life. Take any part of my heart that I am holding back from you. Help me Lord to surrender all to you and trust you no matter the direction that you take my life.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you have a purpose and a plan for my life. Help me to trust your plan for me and to surrender every area of my life to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Is there an area of your life you have yet to surrender to the Lord? How might God be leading you to surrender that area to him?
