You Can Begin Again – Beloved Women – July 12, 2019
“Remember yet not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” - Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV
In 2012, the Lord blessed me with an opportunity to build my first home, while still recovering from divorce the previous year. I started doubting whether I could or should even do this, and questioning if God was really doing this for me. I prayed about it and God said, “yes". Though the process was long and hard, God made it possible.
Life has a way of throwing us some unexpected curve balls. As I reflect back on what God has done, and is doing in my life, it was through those life unexpectancies, that I trusted him even more. I have taken everything that I have experienced, and everything that I have learned up until this point, and used it as a foundation to begin again. With God on my side, I can clearly see what I thought were stumbling blocks, were actually stepping stones.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that through you, all things are made new, if only I would believe. Heal me from any residue from my past that continues to hinder me from moving forward. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
How have you seen God restore the negative situations in your life to something new and good?
