Whether we struggle to make it to the end of the month due to financial constraints, a friend betrays our trust, or a family member sustains an injury, we are never short on problems. When this happens repeatedly, it can be challenging to remain hopeful.
We may notice that we turn inward when dealing with these feelings. Due to being dismissed in the past for our personal worries and concerns, we often reach a point where we stop sharing our thoughts and feelings.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, know that you are not alone. I completely relate to you, and so does God. Whenever we find ourselves in this hopeless mentality, we must remind ourselves of what God says in the Bible. Although these reminders may not alleviate all our worries and fears, they can help us tremendously.

1.Galatians 6:9
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).
The Apostle Paul shares with us in this passage that we do not need to give up. At the proper time, we will reap a harvest. When we try to follow Jesus, our lives will be much more complicated. Those who live according to the sinful flesh will not struggle as much with life because they are doing precisely what the sinful flesh wants.
The constant struggle between the flesh and the Spirit is documented by Paul, “For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They conflict with each other, so you are not to do whatever you want. But if the Spirit leads you, you are not under the law” (Galatians 5:17-18).
Satan wants to prevent people from being productive for the Lord. He will create roadblocks, problems, and troubles for believers who are truly following the Lord. We can fight back against him by putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
If you are going through a tough time right now, know that it is not because of God. He is not causing this challenging time to fall upon you. It is either Satan causing it, the effects of living in a sinful world, or sinful human nature. God is never the one who is causing the problems in our lives. Knowing this can help change our perspectives and give us the peace that comes from knowing God is on our side (Romans 8:31).
Rather than giving up, we need to challenge ourselves to keep going. The road ahead will be tough, but it will be worth the challenge. Allow God to help you as you climb this mountain and overcome it by His grace. Life might become harder; however, rest in the truth that you belong to the Savior. Everything will work out in the end.

2.Philippians 4:13
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
When I hit rock bottom, Philippians 4:13 often comes into my mind. While this Bible passage doesn't refer to being the best at a sport (as it is usually interpreted), it does mean we can do all things through Christ, such as facing trouble, hardship, and pain. We can be content in our discontentment because the Lord is with us. He can give us strength to face any situation with hope and peace (Psalm 28:7).
When we reach the end of our strength, we need to hold on to Jesus’ strength. Through Jesus’ strength, we can continue to push forward. Although the days might seem bleak, we can find rest in the Lord’s comfort and stability. Jesus will help us and surround us with His support. This will take the form of prayer, Bible reading, encouragement from friends and family, and immersing oneself in the beauty of His creation.

3.Matthew 19:26
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’” (Matthew 19:26).
As we look at our own circumstances, we can quickly become disheartened. I am someone who struggles with a chronic illness, which means my health will gradually decline as I get older. However, I can have faith in God because my eternity is found in Him. My life might be full of pain, but my eternity will be filled with glory—and yours will be as well.
Breathe in, breathe out. All things are possible with God. Allow this truth to cover your heart with comfort today. Yes, you still might struggle, but you will have a renewed hope for life. You can offer up your heart and voice in praise to the Lord.
We never need to doubt Him. Paul tells us, “Now to him who can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).

4.2 Chronicles 15:7
“But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded” (2 Chronicles 15:7).
It is easy to become discontented and hopeless about life when everything seems to be going wrong. At times such as these, we need to reflect upon 2 Chronicles 15:7. All our hard work will be rewarded in its proper time. In this present life, we might not reap these rewards, but we are storing up crowns in Heaven (1 Corinthians 9:24-25).
It delights God to see us doing good, and we need to continue to follow Him, even if no one around us is following Him. It is not pleasing to God if we turn away from Him and walk down a road of sin. Temptation will arise at various times, but we must stay strong in the faith. Ask the Lord to help you when you are weak. When we are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 2:9-11).

5.Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Although Paul spoke these words to the church in Rome, they still apply to us today. Yes, times might be challenging right now, but God can use even dreadful things for His purposes. He does not cause these terrible things to happen, yet He can bring good out of them.
God has given everyone free will; however, sadly, many people use their free will for evil. We don't need to blame God for the bad things in our lives because they are not His fault. It is impossible to control everything that will happen in our lives; however, we can trust God with the outcome. He will transform our struggles into something powerful. Although it can be hard to believe at times, God can use even the darkest things we have experienced for His glory.
Never doubt His ability to bring light out of darkness (2 Corinthians 4:6). He can help us as we face any situation and give us the strength we need to continue in life. The key is not to give up. Trust in the Lord and continue to faithfully follow Him with your entire heart, body, mind, and soul (Proverbs 3:5-6). Hold onto Jesus’ hand and choose to have faith in Him even in this present dark season.
