You Are Stronger than You Feel – Beloved Women – September 26, 2023

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
Our feelings are fleeting. If I am honest, my feelings fluctuate throughout the day. I can be energized in the morning and tired by midday. There are days that I feel that I can accomplish all that is before me and days that I feel I am inadequate. Sound familiar? You can’t allow your feelings to lead you. As Philippians 4:13 states, you can only accomplish God’s purposes for you through Christ. It is Christ who gives you the strength to keep going when you want to quit. Christ is your biggest cheerleader to keep you motivated and encouraged.
If you rely only on your feelings, you will remain frustrated, distracted, and overwhelmed. You must be led by God’s Word, the Holy Spirit, and guidance. Your feelings are emotion led, but God wants your actions to be spirit led. Friend, I have great news for you today: you are stronger than you feel. Our feelings are fleeting, but God is faithful.
PRAY
Dear God, thank You for being the source of my strength. Forgive me for times when I have allowed my feelings to lead me, and not Your Word. I seek Your Spirit for guidance when I need to move forward. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
REFLECT
Write down 3-5 feelings that you currently are having in this season. For each feeling, find an uplifting scripture that will encourage you and pray them back to receive God’s strength.
