Get Ready to Have a Productive Day

No matter when you open this post, it still works! Even if you’re reading this late at night (after Monday @ 7:30am), it will only get you ready for tomorrow (God willing). The point here is that you get ready to take on whatever God is calling you to do in this season of your life. So…are you ready to have a productive day?

Let’s talk about it.

How was devotion this morning? Did you talk to God yet? Whether you get it in the morning, lunch time, snack time, or after dinner, I encourage you to spend some time with our Father in heaven. Because guess what my sister? We can do nothing without Him. Absolutely nothing…that counts. So make sure that you include Him in your day. ;-)

Also, have you committed your To-Do-List to Him yet? After all, He is the One who knows what you will actually be able to get done today. Committing your action plan to God is a great way to see success. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” (NLT) It’s so true.

These days, I have a lot on my To-Do-List! When I look at it, it’s pretty overwhelming. However, when I skim through it, I’m often reminded by the Holy Spirit to let Him orchestrate my day. After all, I am only going to accomplish what’s on God’s BIG calendar for my life, anyway. And so I do.

Personally, I like to lift my list up to Him, while praying that what I’m writing also lines up on His list. Why? Because I want to do His will. And I’m sure that you do too. So let’s give Him list. Go ahead…you can do it. Lift it up…TODAY. ;-)

Now, what’s on your agenda? Have you pinpointed your priorities? Have you labeled, highlighted, or circled which ones are high and low? This will help you to get things done, efficiently and effectively. And I’ll tell ya! There is NOTHING like checking off what’s been done. Can you shout, “PROGRESS!”

The next question I’d like you to think about is, “What are you doing to prepare yourself for your calling or purpose today?” Do you know what it is and are you working on things to get there? Because at the end this life, what you did for God is what will matter the most. Jesus says in Matthew 7:21 says, “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven.” (NLT)

So are you doing the will of the Father in heaven? Are you praying about what next steps you need to take to accomplish it? Are you moving towards it if you’re not quite there yet? These questions are so important. We’ve got to make sure that we’re pressing towards the mark of the high calling, sis. There is an eternal prize at the end. And we’ve got to reach it. But FOCUSING on the Kingdom agenda is the key.

In Philippians 3:13-14 Paul says, “…but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” (NLT) It’s time to focus and forget the past (even if it was yesterday), look forward to your future, and press on with perseverance until you reach the finish line. But while you’re at it, find your place and help others get across as well.  Because…

Souls need to be saved. Lives need to be touched. Backsliders need to be restored. Broken marriages need to be mended back together. Orphans need to be cared for. Widows need to be loved in action. The unborn need a voice. Prisoners need to be visited and set free in their hearts and minds. Countless people need to be encouraged. Someone needs a smile or a hug from you. It’s time to be productive, sis.

To make a long story short. Are you ready to have a productive day?

Because the world, lost loved ones, unsaved co-workers, mentees, and the women around you need you to have a productive day. So check your list, prioritize it well, and get ready, my sister. It’s time. For all of us who are in Christ to have a productive day!

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon. And those who endure unto the end, shall be saved. Let’s be ready from the Inside Out.
