5 Fun Breakfasts for Christmas Morning

Christmas morning is very exciting not only for children but for people of all ages. Most people open Christmas gifts on Christmas morning, and that is their only tradition for the day. Maybe you could add in a few of your own unique traditions along with opening gifts. A great addition could be making a fun breakfast for everyone.

Here are a few ideas to get you started, but feel free to come up with your own ideas too:

1. Snowman Pancakes

One fun breakfast idea for Christmas morning is snowman pancakes. This is a fun recipe you can make on your own or you can have your kids help. The full recipe can be found here. This is a super cute recipe that will leave you and your family smiling. Whether you are vegetarian or not, this recipe is perfect. (An easy swap for the scarf of bacon in the traditional recipe could be vegetarian bacon.)

Christmas morning is a great time to try a new recipe, and snowman pancakes are the perfect place to start. They are relatively easy to make and won’t take up too much time. It will be a filling recipe that will get your kids through the Christmas morning before the rest of your Christmas Day activities.

2. French Toast

A second fun breakfast for Christmas morning is French toast. Whether you want to make your own French toast from scratch or you want to purchase frozen French toast, it will surely be a delicious Christmas morning breakfast. If you want to try to make French toast on your own, this is a great recipe to utilize. While French toast can take some time in preparation and baking, it is a delicious treat that will brighten your Christmas morning.

If you want to purchase freezer French toast, this is a great option too! Personally, I have found buying the frozen French toast to be more time effective, especially on a hectic morning such as Christmas. All you have to do is preheat the oven, bake the French toast, and then serve! It is very quick and low stress. No matter which way you choose to prepare your French toast, make sure you also have maple syrup, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. You could even add some unique toppings to make your French toast extra special, such as caramel, hot fudge, or berries.

3. Breakfast Pizza

A third fun breakfast for Christmas morning could be making a breakfast pizza. A great recipe can be found here. Yet again, you can make vegetarian swaps in case you are a vegetarian. Bacon is one of the ingredients in this recipe; however, you can replace it with vegetarian bacon or another type of veggie meat. Breakfast pizza is perfect for a fresh recipe on Christmas morning. A good tip for when you make this recipe is to not prepare it ahead of time. Many other recipes you can prepare ahead of time and they still stay fresh; however, for this recipe, make sure to wait until Christmas morning to prepare it.

The fun part of having breakfast pizza is that it can be versatile. You could try this traditional recipe for Christmas morning and then later try a few other versions of it. Think about breakfast pizza like regular pizza—you can try all sorts of different toppings. You could try different meats, veggie meats, vegetables, different cheeses, and other toppings. You could try a sweet breakfast pizza with syrups, powdered sugar, and fruit... maybe even Christmas spirnkles!

4. Chocolate Chip Muffins

A fourth fun breakfast for Christmas morning is chocolate chip muffins. My sister has always loved chocolate, so chocolate chip muffins were a staple in our house during the winter months. Chocolate chip muffins are soft, fluffy, and warm, which is perfect for Christmas morning and the colder months. I am someone who is not super big on chocolate because I cannot have it much due to having migraines; however, even these chocolate chip muffins tempt me to have one and hope for the best. This chocolate chip muffin recipe tastes just like bakery-style muffins and are extra fluffy. You will not be disappointed in these chocolate chip muffins. It might be that they will become your favorite muffin throughout the year.

If you can’t have chocolate chip muffins, here is a recipe for banana nut muffins. No matter which muffin you want, or if you want to try all of them, there are endless recipes on the web. Even if you are tired one day and don’t feel up to baking muffins, you can also pick up some pre-made muffins at the grocery store. This includes Christmas Eve too. There is nothing wrong about picking up pre-made muffins in order to sleep in on Christmas morning. The important part is that you get to enjoy your Christmas and celebrate the anniversary of the Lord’s birth.

5. Cinnamon Rolls

A fifth fun breakfast for Christmas morning is cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon rolls are a fan favorite across the globe. Not only do kids love them, but adults love them too. The beautiful thing about cinnamon rolls is that you can purchase a package of cinnamon rolls from the grocery store and they can be ready within 20 minutes. While it is always an option to make them from scratch, not many of us have the patience or the time on Christmas morning for the homemade route. If you want to try your hand at making cinnamon rolls on your own, here is a fabulous recipe

The cinnamon rolls from this website will take some time to make, but they will be delicious. However, if you want to purchase the cinnamon rolls from the store, that is a great option too. Whichever you choose, you and your family will love them. Cinnamon rolls are a hit with everyone, so this is the perfect recipe to have for breakfast on Christmas morning. Not many kids will turn down a warm and gooey cinnamon roll. It could be that having cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning will become a tradition that your family will carry on each year.
