Back to School - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of August 14

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

BACK TO SCHOOL

Can you believe how quickly summer time ends and it’s time to get back to school? For moms in the South, kids go back to school beginning the first week of August (can you believe that? We start early down here). For moms in the North, I know you are just as busy getting ready for back to school in September. Moms everywhere get busy finishing up the final touches for kids to return to school. If you are not a mom, you have seen all the chaos at the stores as you watch families get ready.

Hey, if you happen to be reading this during the back to school time-frame, there’s still time, would you consider donating some school supplies to a family in your neighborhood? Maybe, you just thought, “I could give this mom I know a gift-card to Wal-Mart. I know it will come in handy for her about now.” If you are a mom who is done and because of the grace of God you have extra, who around you could use a little assistance? I just want to encourage you to look around and recognize that the mission field is everywhere. Meeting tangible needs for others more often than not opens an opportunity for them to experience the love of God through your words and actions.

Be excited about what God has planned to do through you today. And remember that whatever He does through you, He ultimately does for you! Isn’t that amazing?! There’s no better feeling than serving someone in love.

And, as back to school season ensues, let us all remember to remain students of God’s faithful Word.
