Keep Standing and Don’t Give Up – Beloved Women – August 30, 2022
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 ESV
As Christians, our mission is not to be perfect. We will make some mistakes and incur some losses. Our mission is to not give up, get back up when we stumble, and to keep standing.
Our victory is keeping the faith in the face of crisis.
Our victory is believing God when our feelings and circumstances are telling us to do everything but believe.
Our victory is praying the same prayer year after year with a stubborn faith that our God will answer.
Our miracle won’t be an untouched, safe, or perfect life. Our miracle will be that we made it through the lion’s den alive, the fiery furnace un-singed, and the trial in our right mind. Our miracle will be that we made it through the divorce still with joy, the financial loss still provided for, the hurt and pain still loved, and the crisis still with hope for tomorrow. In this world, we will have trouble Jesus tells us, but He has overcome the world. So take heart, stand firm, and never give up.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your hand on my life and ordering my steps, no matter what I’m facing. I pray for strength to keep going when I want to quit and eyes to see you when life gets hard. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
How does your faith in God encourage you to keep going when you want to quit?
