Today is the day! We have officially studied the entire book of Galatians over the past 17 weeks to learn what it means to truly experience freedom in Christ. I want to thank you for joining me on this journey and invite you to watch this week’s video as I summarize the 3 most important lessons from this series and give you some final thoughts. Enjoy!

This is our final video in the “Already Free” series. For the last seventeen weeks we have gone through the entire book of Galatians, and the Lord has used this series in mighty ways to set you free from your past, striving for God’s approval, caring too much what others think of you, and more. I know this because I’ve received a record number of emails and comments about it. Thank you for joining me on this journey!

Today I want to review what we’ve learned and give you some final thoughts before you go out and live the free life Christ died for you to have. Here are the major lessons we’ve learned:

  1. We need to trust that Christ’s work on the cross and God’s promise to us are greater than our works.
  2. It’s not about what we do, but who God is and what He will do through us as His beloved daughters.
  3. Don’t seek rules. Walk in the Spirit by seeking God, and He will lead you to where you need to be. As long as God is directing you, you never have to worry if you’re doing too much or not enough.

In his conclusion to the Galatians, Paul writes these worlds:

“Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.” Galatians‬ 6:15‬ (NIV)‬‬

The Galatians didn’t need to do anything to be saved. They already were. They were already made new by their faith in Christ. From their example we learn we don’t need to work for what we already have.

When my son was a baby he slept in a crib. Every morning when he woke up he would call to me to get him out of the crib because he was unable to get out on his own. However, now that he is a toddler and we turned his crib into a toddler bed, he still calls out to me. He has the freedom to get out of the bed on his own, but he’s so conditioned to think that he can’t. I still have to go in and get him every morning and remind him, “Baby boy, you are free. You can get out of this bed anytime that you want to.”

You are already free in Christ. Now you just need to go out and live like it!CLICK TO TWEET

That’s the reminder I hope this series gave you. You, Beloved, are already free. I don’t need to tell you how to get free. Again, you’re already free. My hope is that now you are empowered to go out and live free.

Today’s Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the work of your Son Jesus Christ on the cross that I may live free. I pray for the grace and strength to live that freedom out as I honor you with my life. I love You. In Jesus Christ Name I pray. Amen.

Now I want to hear from you today, Beloved. Please comment and let me know: which area of your life would you like to experience more of Christ’s freedom? I can’t wait to chat more about it in the comments!
