God’s been after our whole lives since the moment we were created. God is jealous like that. He’s not interested in being our Sunday morning God, but our all-the-time God. Which is why I’m glad that I get to spend time helping people figure out how their whole lives can be transformed by God’s presence–in between every single Sunday.
So it’s appropriate that several weeks ago David Dwight and I recorded a podcast on “Christianity and Government” and that podcast just so happened to be scheduled for today, and that today the government shut down. And when the government shuts down we are all forced to take a few moments and ask ourselves:
What is my response to this?
We hope you’ll find this a helpful way to think about today, and about politics in general.
