Strength for the Long Stretch | Your Nightly Prayer

Author of Cinched: Living with Unwavering Trust in an Unfailing GodLife often feels like a marathon.
There are seasons filled with excitement and fresh beginnings, but there are also long stretches where exhaustion quietly settles into our hearts. We begin with hope and determination, yet over time fatigue can make us wonder if we have the strength to keep going.
Isaiah 40 reminds us that God never grows tired.
“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” — Isaiah 40:29
What a comforting promise for weary hearts.
God sees every burden you carry. He understands the long nights, the stressful days, and the emotional exhaustion that can build during difficult seasons. While our own strength fades, His never does.
The prophet Isaiah encouraged God’s people to trust the everlasting Creator who never faints or grows weary. That same encouragement speaks to believers today. God is not overwhelmed by your situation. He is not exhausted by your prayers. His strength is unlimited, and He freely offers it to those who depend on Him.
Sometimes renewal does not come through instant solutions but through daily dependence upon God’s sustaining grace. He gives enough strength for the next step, the next day, and the next season.
Tonight, release your weariness into God’s hands.
As you prepare for rest, remember that the Lord is already preparing strength for tomorrow. He will sustain you through the long stretch ahead.
