God Is in the Waiting Too

Most of us like knowing what's next.

We want the timeline. The answers. The green light. We want to know exactly where God is leading and when we'll finally arrive.

But some of the hardest seasons of faith happen in the in-between.

The move hasn't happened yet. The job hasn't come through. The answer hasn't arrived. The next chapter is still unfolding.

Psalm 121:8 offers a beautiful promise:

"The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

Notice that God watches over both the coming and the going. The arriving and the leaving. The movement and the waiting.

Sometimes we assume God is only working when things are happening. Yet some of His deepest work often takes place in the waiting room of life.

Tonight, whatever transition you're facing, remember that God isn't distant. He's actively guiding, protecting, and preparing every step. You don't have to force the timeline. You can trust the One who already sees the destination.

Prayer

Father,

Transitions are difficult. I often want answers faster than they come and clarity sooner than You provide it. Tonight, I surrender my timeline to You.

Help me trust You not only in the destination but also in the journey. Give me peace when the future feels uncertain and confidence when I can't see the next step.

Thank You for watching over my coming and going. Thank You for protecting me, guiding me, and caring for every detail of my life.

As I rest tonight, remind me that You are working even when I cannot see it.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
