Reba McEntire is one of the most well-known voices in country music. Since her rise to stardom in the 1970s, Reba has truly made a name for herself as a powerhouse vocal talent. Today, she’s helping us get in the Christmas spirit with a beautiful rendition of the holiday classic ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas.’ This is just one of the toe-tapping tunes from Reba’s holiday album ‘My Kind Of Christmas.’

‘I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree’

This Christmas song became an instant classic after Bing Crosby recorded it in 1943. Since then, countless different artists from a range of genres have performed the song. But no matter the singer, the message of the tune is always the same. Christmas time is all about gathering together with friends and family to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. But sometimes, we are unable to be with our loved ones during the holidays, and that can be very difficult. The words of this song may be simple, but they ring true for so many of us during the Christmas season. Even if we cannot physically be with our families, we will always be together in our hearts.

If only in my dreams’

When the hustle and bustle of the holidays start to wear on you, just remember the real reason that we are gathering at Christmas. And make sure to give your loved ones an extra hug for all the others that cannot be with us this year.
