Calm Before a Big Decision | Your Nightly Prayer
Rachel Britton
AuthorImportant decisions rarely stay neatly contained within the daytime.
They follow us into dinner. They interrupt conversations. They appear again when the house grows quiet and our heads finally reach the pillow.
Should I accept the opportunity?
Should I stay or go?
Is this the right relationship, job, move, treatment, investment, or next step?
The more meaningful the decision, the greater the temptation to believe that everything depends on our ability to choose perfectly.
But Scripture offers another way.
God invites us to seek wisdom without surrendering to fear. He asks us to trust Him even when our own understanding feels incomplete. We may not know every outcome, but we can know the One who sees the whole road.
Tonight, you do not have to solve your future before you sleep.
You can pray honestly, gather wisdom patiently, and trust God to make the next faithful step clear at the right time.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6
