A Prayer to Work as a Witness, Not Just an Employee | Your Daily Prayer

Crosswalk.com Contributing WriterA difficult workplace can make every morning feel heavier.
You may feel undervalued.
Overworked.
Ignored.
Surrounded by gossip, conflict, or pressure.
Perhaps the job is simply not what you hoped it would be.
In those seasons, it is easy to reduce work to survival:
Get through the day.
Collect the paycheck.
Go home.
But Genesis 39 shows us a different way to think about work.
Joseph found himself in circumstances far worse than an unpleasant office or frustrating shift.
He had been betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned for something he did not do.
His environment was unjust.
His circumstances were outside his control.
Yet Scripture repeatedly tells us that the Lord was with Joseph.
That truth changed the way Joseph lived.
He did not allow injustice to define his character.
He remained faithful.
And those around him noticed.
