Forgiveness isn’t easy, especially when the pain is rooted in deep, personal experiences. But God calls us to forgive — not to excuse the hurt, but to find freedom from the weight of bitterness. Today’s devotional and prayer gently invite us into a place of healing. Whether your relationship with your father is broken, complicated, or simply painful to process, God sees you — and He longs to walk with you on the road to forgiveness. Ephesians 4:31–32 (NIV) says: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger... Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Let this prayer be a first step — or the next — in releasing the pain of your past and opening your heart to peace.
