Pain changes us.

Sometimes it's physical pain that lingers longer than expected. Sometimes it's emotional wounds that quietly shape our days. Sometimes it's grief, disappointment, or unanswered prayers that leave us wondering how much longer we can endure.

In those moments, perseverance can feel impossible.

But God never asks us to rely on our own strength.

Throughout Scripture, we see faithful men and women who endured seasons of incredible hardship—not because they were exceptionally strong, but because God faithfully sustained them. His grace carried them when their own strength was gone.

Romans 5 reminds us that God is doing something even in our suffering. He isn't the author of evil, but He is able to redeem every painful chapter by producing perseverance, shaping our character, and anchoring our hope more deeply in Him.

If today feels especially heavy, remember this: God isn't asking you to sprint. He's simply inviting you to keep walking with Him—one faithful step at a time.

"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."

— Romans 5:3–4
