A Prayer for Hope When Job-Searching | Your Daily Prayer

Few things test confidence like a long job search.

You submit applications.

Rewrite the résumé.

Adjust the cover letter.

Prepare for interviews that may never come.

Then you wait.

Sometimes the hardest part is not the practical work.

It is what the waiting begins saying about you.

Maybe I am not qualified enough.

Maybe I chose the wrong path.

Maybe everyone else is moving forward while I am stuck.

Maybe nothing is going to change.

Job searching can quickly become personal because work is often connected to identity, finances, stability, and hopes for the future.

But your employment status is not a measure of your worth.

A closed door does not mean your life is closed.

And a delayed opportunity does not mean God has stopped working.
