A Prayer for Help in the Face of Life’s Mountains

There are seasons in life when the obstacles before us feel impossible to overcome. Anxiety, exhaustion, uncertainty, and endless responsibilities can leave us feeling weak and overwhelmed. In those moments, we desperately need help beyond our own strength.

Psalm 121 reminds us where true help comes from: the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. God sees every mountain standing before us, and He promises to walk beside us through every challenge we face.

When we lift our eyes toward Him instead of focusing only on our problems, we discover renewed strength, peace, and hope. God often provides help through His presence, His Word, His people, and the power of the Holy Spirit working within us.

Today’s prayer is a reminder that no mountain is too great for God’s faithfulness. He will strengthen, sustain, and carry you through every difficult season.

Scripture

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1-2

Prayer

Mighty God, You know every burden and mountain standing before me today. When I feel weak, overwhelmed, or uncertain, remind me that my help comes from You alone. Fill me with strength, peace, and courage to keep moving forward. Thank You for always being near and faithfully carrying me through every season. In Jesus’ name, amen.
