A Prayer for Gratitude to Grow Your Joy | Your Daily Prayer

Author of Win Over WorryJoy and gratitude are deeply connected.
When we focus only on what's wrong, our hearts naturally become discouraged. We notice what we don't have, what didn't happen, or what still needs to change.
But gratitude redirects our attention.
It reminds us of the countless ways God has already been faithful.
Every sunrise.
Every answered prayer.
Every unexpected blessing.
Every moment of grace.
Every breath we take.
Gratitude doesn't ignore hardship. Instead, it helps us remember that even in difficult seasons, God remains present, faithful, and good.
As thankfulness grows, joy follows—not because our circumstances suddenly improve, but because our hearts become more aware of the goodness of the One who never changes.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
— 1 Thessalonians 5:18
