A Prayer for Faith Like Caleb | Your Daily Prayer

Some challenges look enormous before we ever take the first step.

A diagnosis.

A strained relationship.

A new responsibility.

A financial problem.

A difficult workplace.

An uncertain future.

When we stand at the base of that kind of mountain, fear naturally asks:

How am I supposed to get through this?

Israel asked a similar question when the people stood at the edge of the Promised Land.

God had already demonstrated His faithfulness.

He had delivered them from slavery.

He had parted the Red Sea.

He had provided for them in the wilderness.

Yet when the spies returned from examining the land, most focused on the size of the opposition instead of the size of their God.

Caleb saw exactly what they saw.

He was not naïve about the challenge.

But he responded differently.

Scripture says he had “a different spirit” and followed God wholeheartedly.

That is the kind of faith we need when a new mountain rises in front of us.
