Having spent the past two decades enduring life with multiple illnesses, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Andrea is intimately acquainted with the hardships that accompany debilitating health issues. Navigating life while undergoing infusions, chemotherapy, more than 100 surgical procedures, and all the complications in between has given her deep compassion for those who also suffer. She writes devotionals on her Facebook Group (Abundant Life for Abundant Illness) to help others find the pathway to living a life that overflows with the riches of God’s sustaining love even in the midst of pain and suffering. You can join the group at www.facebook.com/groups/lifeforillness by clicking the “join” button.
Andrea is currently completing her first devotional book, The Way Through Illness. Prior to her career as professional patient and author, she worked in a wide variety of instructional and nurturing roles, including everything from teaching aerobics to teaching first grade. Her favorite role was that of stay-at-home mother. She has also served as a Bible study leader, a Children’s Ministry Director, and a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Coordinator. She is passionate about building others up in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ by providing them with practical tools to embrace the rewarding rhythms of discipleship.
Andrea lives in Texas with remarkable husband Mark. They have three nearly grown children, Carly, Sarah, and Zach. She grew up in Miami, FL and is a beach girl at heart, but for now she is content to use the therapy pool in her backyard. She can be reached for speaking engagements or interest in her book proposal at email@example.com.
