Moms Do So Much - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of May 2

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

MOMS DO SO MUCH THAT GETTING READY TO GO WORK-OUT IS A WORK-OUT ITSELF!

Okay, who out there does so much just to get ready to go work-out that by the time you are actually working-out, you feel almost too tired to do it?! I used to have some serious guns on me (arm muscles for those of you who are not used to my slang) when my kids were young. I was constantly picking them up or picking them up while they were buckled in their car-seat, or picking up my daughter and then picking up my son who was in his car seat at the same time! Arnold Schwarzenegger could seriously employ moms to create awesome work-out routines.

My kids are older now, but I still find myself running, sweating, packing lunches, running to the grocery store at interesting hours, baking cupcakes (at interesting hours), helping with homework, school projects, and squeezing in a work-out (again, at interesting hours). I, personally, think moms should get continual work-out passes and receive a nanny that is paid from the instant money tree that sprouts up in the back-yard on the day she gives birth (and every time thereafter). Or, even better than that, or more so – on top of that, what moms eat for the 18 years after they give birth should magically turn into nutritional, low cal, low fat food right when it touches their lips (even it is cold-chicken nuggets and cupcake icing). I think the world would feel like a pretty fair place in that regard, don’t you? I think I hear a million moms saying Amen right now.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! If you are not a mom but you are reading this, I encourage you to send your mom a copy of this book with this chapter marked with a “I love my mom!” bookmark in this spot to salute them. If I could insert a song in this book, I’d have Eye of the Tiger playing in the background right now!

Phil 2:12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

Phil 2:13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
