In the Valley - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of December 19

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

IN THE VALLEY

A good friend of mine and devoted warrior in this ministry was explaining how farmers use the technology of agriculture equipment. Her husband sells the equipment and I was very interested in how it all works.

She explained, “Yes, these big tractors have little tractors that are computer operated by the larger tractor.” She went on to explain that the machines also measure the grain, and they are able to determine which parts of the field yield the most growth. Then, she said something that stopped me in my tracks, “The most growth happens on low ground…”

“Why?” I asked.

“Because the rain washes the nutrients to the lowest point. As a result, the lowest ground yields the most growth.”

“That sounds similar to the Christian journey. Our faith grows in the valley. Rain may come, but God uses it all for the good of those who love Him….

“…and are called according to His purposes,” we said in unison as we chuckled.

And we know in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.(Romans 8:28)

While we both felt we were in unique valleys, we were encouraged that God would send the nutrients we needed to grow strong, tall, and steadfast!

Do you feel you are in a valley right now? How much better do you function when you are feeding your faith with the Word of God?

There’s Strong. Then There’s God-Strong.
