TWO GARDENS

Jaime Wyrtzen Lauze´

And they went to a place called Gethsemane... Mark 14:32a

Jesus came to earth to die for our sins so that we could be reconciled to the Father. He became the bridge for us.

There are two very important gardens that are mentioned in scripture. The Garden of Eden and the Garden of Gesthemene. In the Garden of Eden, everything was perfect. Well, perfect until man's sin caused separation from our Heavenly Father. Adam and Eve who walked intimately with God, betrayed Him in the biggest way possible. They didn't trust that God had their best interests at heart when He made the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil off limits. They decided to trust a stranger who they didn't know at all and now we are all guilty. Our sin nature makes us that way.

But God had a plan. He sent His Son Who, one day, stood in another garden. He stood with all of the knowledge that we lack and chose to obey the Father. He had already been tempted in the wilderness, but He knew better. He knew that He was the only Way out. He would suffer for all humankind so that those of us that He has called could be made right again with the Father.

Adam and Eve stood in a perfect garden with no thorns and no weeds. Jesus stood in a garden full of thorns, weeds, and dangers. Yet He chose to endure pain in our place. We didn't deserve this gift, which makes it all the more wonderful.

Have you received what He is offering? Have you accepted the love of Jesus? He's waiting for you. Reach out to Him. He can make you right with the Father.

Heavenly Father, Let me never lose the wonder of what You did for me. Help me to always chose You and Your way. In Jesus Precious Name, Amen.
