Faith & Work – Beloved Women – June 18, 2021
“So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” - James 2:17 ESV
Faith and work go hand in hand. Often times, people tend to use their faith as a crutch to sit back and wait on God. I believe that we are to wait expectantly, but we also need to use our gifts to do the work. I believe God has gifted each of you with many talents and He wants you to use it for His glory.
As you use those gifts, He will bless it and open doors of opportunity that you can’t do on your own. God wants us to lean on Him, but He also wants to see that we will willingly put in the work.
Populating His kingdom takes work. It takes people who are going the extra mile. So as you are believing God for bold things in your life, be willing to put in the work to spiritually, physically and mentally prepare for what the Lord is calling you towards.
Dear Father, help me to see the beauty in the work for which you have called me to do. I am believing that you will blow my mind this year, as I am obedient to having faith, and to put the extra work to do what you are calling me towards. Lead the way in my life and let me willingly follow you. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
What are you putting off that God is calling you to do today?
