It Is Only a Season – Beloved Women – May 12, 2020

READ: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3: 1 ESV)

TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: How would you rate your contentment in life?  Would you say you are one hundred percent at peace with every area?  Career?  Health?  Family?  If you have at least one area that is not where you would like it to be, the chances are you are in good company.

For many people, life has a way of balancing the good with the bad.  We may have a season of financial difficulty while experiencing a season of relational growth.  We may experience a season of career success while simultaneously walking through a difficult relationship.

Solomon, known for his wisdom, tells us that life has seasons. In the subsequent verses of Ecclesiastes chapter three, he lists several seasons one can experience in life.  In light of his wise perspective, we can choose to evaluate life’s challenges with hope because they will not last forever.  Even if our difficult seasons do not cease on earth, we know they will in eternity.  For this reason, we can take heart and know that the difficulties we are presently facing are only for a season.

PRAY: Dear God, Help me to trust You with my life and believe that You are working all things for my good.  Help me to wait with patience as I endure difficult seasons and may I also learn the lessons You are teaching me through them. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
