Surrender in Each Season - Beloved Women - March 25, 2024

READ: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

TODAY'S ENCOURAGEMENT: Winter, spring, summer, and fall all have distinct weather patterns, temperatures, and characteristics. Spring is my favorite season because of it's milder temperatures and blooming flowers. To enjoy the warmth of spring, however, I must survive the brutal cold and snow of winter. I must surrender to the tougher elements to reap the benefits of a warmer spring. Like the four seasons, we too must surrender to the various seasons of life that we encounter.

There will be seasons of joy and celebration, as well as grief and loneliness. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that life will be full of different seasons. Despite what season that we may be currently facing, we must surrender to God’s sovereignty, will, and direction. Surrendering is not an act of defeat, but the ultimate act of dependence. While we may not feel like surrendering to God’s leadership, God has equipped us with everything we need to move through the distinct seasons of our lives. God has provided us with adequate relationships, resources, and renewed strength to support us throughout each season.

PRAY: Dear God, Thank You that You are the Creator of all seasons and you allow me to experience the newness of each one. Please help me to continue to give You thanks for every season of life. During times of joy or sorrow, may I surrender to Your perfect will in my life. May You remind me that You have equipped me with all I need to navigate through each season. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

REFLECT: What season of life do you find yourself in that you desire to surrender to God more?
