Holy Spirit, Have Your Way – Beloved Women – July 23, 2019
So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel. ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.” - Zechariah 4:6 NIV
Is the Holy Spirit leading you? In all of our many personal and professional endeavors, a strong work ethic is needed to sustain projects. God has blessed us with ministries, purpose, and various callings. With all of our hard work and striving, burn out will eventually set in and we will become depleted if we are not replenished with the Holy Spirit.
Zerubbabel was tasked with rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem and needed the Holy Spirit to guide him. When we find ourselves exhausted and needing renewal, seek God in prayer. Let the Holy Spirit fill us up when we are weak. The Holy Spirit will empower, equip, and restore us to continue to serve in the areas that God has called us. I invite you to listen and let the Holy Spirit guide you and give you direction. Holy Spirit, have your way!
Dear God, thank you for your Holy Spirit that is available to me through Jesus. Help me to be empowered by your Spirit daily in all that I do. Forgive me for times when I have allowed my work ethic to drown out your voice. Thank you for restoring me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
How can you invite the Holy Spirit in your life today? What practice can you start to get in tune with the Holy Spirit?
