The Only Way – Beloved Women – December 4, 2018
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life” - John 14:6 ESV
At times I can be directionally challenged. It is easy when I am in a familiar city, but when I am in a new place it takes me some time to learn my way around.
In a world where there is a reliance on navigational systems, I am comforted to know that there is one route that I don’t need a GPS for. That route is the way to God our Father.
John 14:6 is a sweet reminder that there is only one way to our most profound destination. This is where we will see our Father face to face.
Jesus declares that He is the only way to gain access to our Heavenly Father. Through a relationship with Him, we can get to know our Father in an intimate way on earth. This relationship will build excitement for the day when we will meet Him in heaven.
Father, I help us understand how you sent your son Jesus to be the way to gain personal access to you. I pray that you will help us to know you better and desire your living water. In doing so, I pray that you will bring an excitement to the day that we will see you for ourselves. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
What excites you about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? How might God be leading you to prioritize your relationship with Jesus more?
