Top 10 Worship Songs Helping Us Get Through 2026

Music helps us express our emotions and connect with God and each other. So, singing worship songs can be a powerful way to find the encouragement we need as we deal with our current challenges. In Ephesians 5:18-20, the Bible advises us to “... be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Worship music helps us tune into the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. That awareness can give us fresh strength to overcome the challenges we’re facing. So far this year, the following songs have become especially popular on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs and praise charts. Let's take a look at 10 powerful worship songs that are currently carrying us through 2026.

Forrest Frank

1. “Your Way’s Better” by Forrest Frank

This catchy, upbeat song is all about realizing that God’s plans for our lives are much better than our own. It helps us let go of worry and stress by reminding us that we don't have to figure everything out on our own. Instead of stressing over our problems, the song encourages us to trust that God is in control and has a perfect plan for us. As the song says: “Oh Lord, I need you now more than ever/Would you put my heart back together?/I searched the world ‘til my head hurt/Just to find out your way’s better.” It’s a fun, joyful reminder to stop trying to force things to happen our way and to simply rest in the truth that God’s way is always best.

Brandon Lake

2. “King of Hearts” by Brandon Lake

Brandon Lake is one of the most popular worship artists today, and “King of Hearts” quickly climbed straight to the top of the charts. This song is all about the power of letting go of control and surrendering our lives to Jesus. Instead of talking about Jesus as a distant ruler, the song presents him as an intimate, loving King who gently asks for our love in return. It explores the important spiritual lesson that when we stop fighting and give Jesus our hearts, true freedom and emotional healing will always follow. The song shares this posture of open trust through the beautiful lyrics: “Take the throne, take the crown, I am laying it down/You can have my everything, King of my heart.” When people hurt us or when plans fail, we naturally want to guard our emotions, build up high defensive walls, or isolate ourselves so we don’t get hurt again. “King of Hearts” invites us to lower our defenses and trust God to help us with all the pain and worries we’ve been carrying. Listening to this song reminds us that we’re completely safe in the hands of a Savior who loves us completely and unconditionally.

3. “God I’m Just Grateful” by Elevation Worship and Chandler Moore

This song combines Elevation Worship's excellent music production with Chandler Moore's soul-stirring vocals. It strips away complicated, confusing theological words to focus entirely on the basic goodness of being alive and cared for by God. “God I’m Just Grateful” captures the honest reality that even when our situations are far from perfect, God’s grace is always more than enough to sustain us. As the chorus goes: “God, I'm just grateful, through it all you've been faithful." This track acts as a wonderful source of daily encouragement because it gives us the right words to say when we feel completely drained. It reminds us that true gratitude is not just a passing feeling we have only when everything is going perfectly. Instead, thankfulness is a daily choice to acknowledge a perfect Savior who loves us. Belting out these lyrics serves as a literal reset button for our anxiety. It inspires us to look past our problems to see God’s comforting presence with us.

4. “Worthy of It All” by CeCe Winans

The wonderful CeCe Winans continues to lead the global church into a deep place of worship with her powerful version of “Worthy of It All,” which remains a permanent fixture on the praise charts. The song takes its beautiful imagery straight from the biblical descriptions in the Book of Revelation. It paints a stunning picture of heaven, showing saints, angels, and elders bowing down and casting their crowns before the throne of God. The entire song centers on the absolute greatness of Jesus and why He deserves all our praise. The chorus says: “You are worthy of it all/For from you are all things, and to you are all things, you deserve the glory.” This track serves as an incredible shield against despair during difficult seasons, completely reframing how we view our daily lives. Josiah Queen Reminds Gen Z That ‘Real Life’ Is Found in Scripture, Not iPhones

5. “Demons” by Josiah Queen

This powerful song from rising worship artist Josiah Queen has quickly climbed the charts. It deals head-on with topics that a lot of songs avoid: spiritual warfare, internal anxiety, and the heavy mental battles that believers face in quiet moments. However, instead of making the listener focus on fear or darkness, the song acts as a bold declaration of authority. It reminds us that spiritual darkness has absolutely no hold over us when we have relationships with Jesus. As the song says: “Tell those demons ‘Run and hide’/They tremble at the name of Jesus every time/Fear ain’t got a home here up inside my mind/Darkness has to leave up in this light.” This track offers massive comfort for anyone navigating heavy mental health battles, intense family stress, or tough spiritual dry spells. It validates the fact that our struggles are real and painful, but it confidently points to the overwhelming victory we already have through Jesus. Listening to this song inspires us to stay strong in our faith. It helps us push back against fear and trust that the enemy has already lost the battle for our peace of mind.

Phil Wickham

6. “Song of the Saints” by Phil Wickham

Phil Wickham has a special, God-given gift for writing songs that churches absolutely love to sing together as a community, and “Song of the Saints” is a perfect example. This song builds up into a loud, joyful celebration that intentionally focuses on the unity of all believers across space, time, and history. The song celebrates Jesus as the world’s Savior and the collective voice of God’s people, rising to worship him. The chorus is: “Glory to God the Father/Glory to Christ the Risen One/All hail the King, with Heaven sing/Hallelujah.” This song is an excellent source of encouragement because it urges us to fight back against the epidemic of isolation in our world today. It’s easy to feel lonely or misunderstood. However, “Song of the Saints” reminds us that we are never alone; we are part of a massive, beautiful family of believers spanning the entire globe. Singing along makes us feel connected to something much bigger than ourselves. When we use our own voices to join the saints in praising God, we experience a strong sense of his collective love for us all.

7. “Firm Foundation” by Cody Carnes

This is another incredible song that has stayed near the top of the modern worship charts. The core message of this powerful song is built on the parables of Jesus from the Gospels: the wisdom of building our houses upon a solid rock rather than on shifting, weak sand. The lyrics confidently say that even when everything around us is changing, being torn down, or falling apart, we can still choose to be glad because Jesus has never let us down and he won’t start now. We can sing out with bold confidence: “Christ is my firm foundation, the rock on which I stand/When everything around me is shaken, I’ve never been more glad.” We need to remember this song’s message because this fallen world is unstable and unpredictable. The news brings us many reports of changes happening. “Firm Foundation” reminds us that our ultimate safety and security don’t depend on our temporary worldly circumstances. Instead, we can find safety and security in the reality that Jesus’ power is much greater than any storm or challenge we’ll ever face.

8. More Than Able (Can You Imagine?)” by Elevation Worship

Elevation Worship has landed another massive hit on the praise charts with “More Than Able.” This song is deeply rooted in holy expectation, spiritual anticipation, and the miraculous, active power of God. The lyrics challenge us to stretch our finite, small faith and dare to imagine what happens when the Holy Spirit moves inside our families, our local churches, and our immediate communities. It focuses on breaking old generational struggles, healing physical sickness, and restoring broken lives. The anthem builds confidently on God's ultimate authority over our problems: “Because you are God, no matter the odds/The outcome is always the same/You will make a way.” This song is getting us through tough times by igniting a fresh, vibrant spark of hope in our hearts. When we look at difficult situations (like a broken relationship that seems impossible to fix or a stressful financial problem) we can fall into despair and give up. “More Than Able” breaks through that darkness by reminding us that God actually specializes in doing the impossible. It encourages us to pray bolder prayers, expect real answers, and watch God move in amazing, miraculous ways in our daily lives.

9. “Counting My Blessings” by Seph Schlueter

Seph Schlueter’s "Counting My Blessings" focuses entirely on the intentional, daily practice of gratitude. The lyrics guide us through the simple yet profound exercise of looking around our room and specifically naming the ways God has been good to us. This habit turns our focus away from what we think we lack and points us toward what God has generously given us. As the song says: “One, two, three, up to infinity/I’d run out of numbers before I could thank you for everything/God, I’m still counting my blessings.” This song helps us get through our challenges because negativity can be contagious. It’s easy to complain about our problems, but this song encourages us to focus on our blessings instead. Singing along helps us realize that even on our toughest days, there are countless expressions of God's grace surrounding us if we just look for them. It shifts our attitude from a feeling of scarcity to an awareness of abundance, filling our hearts with genuine peace.

10. “WASHED” by Elevation Rhythm

This is a joyful song about finding freedom and a fresh start through a relationship with Jesus. The song celebrates the wonderful reality that when Jesus died on the cross, he paid for all of our sins and took away our feelings of shame and guilt. By using the biblical imagery of being “washed in the water” and “washed in the blood,” the lyrics celebrate that Jesus has made us completely clean and “as good as new”. We can let “WASHED” remind us to stop carrying the burden of our past mistakes and rely on Jesus to empower us to live each day with confidence, happiness, and peace. Listening to this song can inspire us to dance, celebrate, and worship freely because, as the lyrics say: “I’ve been washed in the water/Washed in the blood/I’m as good as new/Oh hallelujah”!
