Are There Prophecies Being Fulfilled Now? Part 2

Liz Pineda

Throughout the Bible, God has consistently demonstrated that He will never leave His children in the dark when a catastrophic event is about to take place.

Here are some examples of events in the Bible where God forewarned His people about an impending disaster:

God showed signs and spoke through prophets to prepare His people and shield them from imminent destruction. Due to this, some pastors consider such events as compelling pieces of evidence for a pre-tribulation rapture.

Is it not then sensible to conclude that God would also forewarn His children before the most devastating catastrophe in history comes to pass?

Thus, it is troubling that many pastors are reluctant to discuss end times prophecy in their congregation. You can attribute such apathy on the subject to people’s aversion to end-of-days discussions. This should not be the case. God uses prophecies not to confound us but to empower and prepare us for foreboding disasters.

May the parable of the 10 virgins be a warning to us all. The parable signifies that half of the church is asleep, woefully unprepared for when Christ returns.

1. The Rise of Trans-humanism

An example is the application of genome editing technology and the use of technological implants to enhance and transcend mankind’s natural limitations.

Simply put, the moment man starts playing God, disaster may follow. Remember how God destroyed the Great Tower of Babel as the people strived for power?

Then they said, 'Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth” Genesis 11:4

And here’s an excerpt from a statement by Richard Seed, a physicist and transhumanist who won the Nobel Prize in 1997 for his work on the human genome:

“We are going to become gods period. If you don't like it, get off. You don't have to contribute you don't have to participate. But if you're going to interfere with me becoming God,  you will have big trouble. We will have warfare. The only way you can prevent me is to kill me. if you kill me, I'll kill you.”

2.  The Online World and the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11

According to the prophecy, a time will come when people all over the globe can view a specific biblical event in real-time, meaning everyone in the world will witness this prophetic event as it happens.

In the prophecy, two witnesses come to the scene to testify about Jesus. They will preach in Jerusalem in sackcloth, but the world's ruler, the final Antichrist, will slaughter them.

“When they finish their [the two witnesses] testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.” Revelation 11

This prophecy dates back thousands of years. One can imagine how people at that time could make sense of such an event.

No doubt, people from ancient times might have asked, “How could people from all over the planet witness the death of these two witnesses in Jerusalem and actually see their corpses in real-time?

Now we know. Internet technology makes such an event possible.

You may want to check Starlink by Elon Mask, which aims to provide internet access to isolated and secluded areas of the planet.

Additionally, you can read this statement from the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, the organization tasked with building the third temple, once approval is granted:

“Now is the time for one of its most ambitious projects yet completing architectural plans for the actual construction fusing ancient texts and modern technology while strictly adhering to the religious requirements set forth in biblical texts the third temple will also be equipped with every modern amenity”

Thus, a full-scale computerization is in the works once the temple is built. It means future events in the temple will be transmitted live. All implements are in place to facilitate the fulfillment of the prophetic event concerning the two witnesses.

3. Christians Adopting Pagan Practices in the Last Days

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.” 1 Timothy 4:1 [ESV]

Examples of vile practices derived from occult teachings:

4. The Spread of Plagues and Diseases

Numerous deadly diseases have occurred throughout history, such as the Bubonic Plague, the Black Death Pandemic, and the 1918 influenza outbreak. However, unlike the recent coronavirus pandemic, which impacted people worldwide, those deadly plagues were only confined to a few countries.

5. Wrong Becomes Right, And Right Becomes Wrong

“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.” 2 Timothy 4:3

The moral decay in our society has become notably evident in recent years. What Christians consider immoral has evolved into socially acceptable norms, while what we consider ethical is increasingly reviled and frowned upon.

If you attempt to express your dissenting views on abortion, homosexuality, revealing outfits, or premarital affairs, expect to be ridiculed or castigated for your “extreme views” regarding these issues.

6. Meat Consumption Will Be Forbidden in the Last Days

“Forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 1 Timothy 4:3 [KJV]

In order to “save the planet," there has been a growing clamor from different groups to abstain from eating meats in favor of insect-based alternatives. The concept has already taken root due to an increasing number of companies producing edible insects.

And recently, a headline from Fox News: “Davos speaker calls for 1 billion people 'to stop eating meat,' for innovation and the environment."

7. Buying and Selling Will Be Monitored

According to the prophecy, those who refuse to submit to the antichrist will not be allowed to buy or sell. Such a regulation would be virtually impossible until recently, when every individual's financial transactions could be monitored.

Today, the adoption of digital currency is at hand. According to  Pippa Malmgren, economist and former US presidential advisor, the use of digital currency will allow us “to have an almost perfect record of every single transaction that happens in the economy.”

In other words, it will be possible to monitor the transactions made by every person on the planet once the digital currency is fully implemented.

Currently, “A growing number of central banks are considering issuing their own digital currencies,” according to the World Economic Forum site.

8. The Rebirth of Israel As a Nation in the Last Days

“Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.” Isaiah 66:8 NIV

Such a prophecy provides a vivid description of the dire situation facing the Jewish people in the months and years leading up to Israel's rebirth as a nation. The re-establishment of Israel came after the Holocaust, following intense persecution and suffering.

Prophecy of Israel's existence in the End Times

Israel ceased to be a nation for more than 2000 years following the Roman expulsion of Jews from the Holy Land in 70 AD. As a result, the Jews were forced into exile and dispersed across the globe until the re-establishment of the Jewish state on May 14, 1948.

Thus, the prophecy of Israel's re-emergence in the last days has been fulfilled.

Back then, the fulfillment of this prophecy seemed impossible. It's mind-boggling how a people scattered and exiled in different parts of the globe for thousands of years can become a nation again.

According to Historians, it is not possible for a country that hasn't existed for centuries to re-emerge as an independent nation. Thus, the rebirth of Israel after a millennia of nonexistence is nothing short of a miracle. What made the prediction even more fascinating was the prophecy’s description of Israel’s economic standing as the end draws near.

Based on the prophecy, Israel would experience unprecedented prosperity near the end, triggering an invasion from the land of Mesheck or modern-day Russia [according to prophecy scholars]:

“The region of Meshech is often identified as being north of the Black Sea” (southern Russia and Ukraine and possibly the Republic of Georgia, gotquestions.org).

As European countries now consider Israel a potential gas supplier, Russia could lose leverage with the EU. Thus, Russia’s animosity toward Israel might intensify in such a scenario, leading to a possible invasion.

Today, Russia's military arsenals can also be found in Syria, a country sharing a border with Israel.

9. The Rebuilding of the Third Temple in the Last Days

According to prophecy, in the last days, the antichrist will enter the third temple in Jerusalem. Thus, before the end times come to a close, this prophecy must be fulfilled.

For years, the Temple Institute of Jerusalem has been busy preparing all implements for the restoration of the Third Temple. Apparently, they are just waiting for the green light to begin construction.

We are not saying that the end of days is at hand. Nonetheless, in light of the rapid escalation of prophetic signs and events in our world today, we urge you to be prepared at all times.

For people of faith, this is a time of hope rather than despair.

“Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matthew 24:44  NASB

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28 NKJV
