How to Be a Living Sacrifice (Romans 12)
We all make mistakes. We all mess up. We all fall short. But in the core of your heart, do you understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus?

Romans 12:1-2 – Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worshipDo not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)

How to Be A Living Sacrifice

This passage of scripture paints a beautiful depiction of a Christ-follower.

1) To live for God.

2) To be transformed.

3) To be different from the world.

I guess this post is to ask you three simple questions:

1) Are you living for God?

2) Have you been transformed?

3) Are you living differently from the world?

The Reality Is:

We all make mistakes. We all screw up. We all fall short. But in the core of your heart, do you understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus? And based on your everyday lifestyle, do you reflect one?

I ask myself these questions every day. And to be honest, I think we all should. Self-evaluation can make or break your relationship with God. If we can’t admit we need help, we will never gather up the courage to ask for it.

God is looking for progression, not perfection. And you can’t find progression unless you have direction.

Let God be your compass. Sacrifice of self is the beginning of life.
