A Prayer to Stay Faithful in Prayer
Christine F. Perry
Author of How I Met Peace and For the Weary Life TravelerDear Heavenly Father, There are seasons when prayer flows easily⦠and seasons when I feel distracted, distant, or discouraged. But tonight, I come backānot with perfect words, but with an open heart. Teach me to be faithful in prayer. Not just when life is peaceful, but in the middle of stress, silence, and storms. Help me remember that Youāre not looking for eloquence, but for honesty. Not long speeches, but daily connection. Remind me that prayer is not a task, but a lifeline. Itās not a performanceāitās a relationship. Draw me into deeper intimacy with You, not out of obligation, but out of desire to know You more. When my mind wanders, pull me back gently. When Iām weary, remind me that even a whisper is heard in Heaven. When Iām tempted to give up, remind me of the power of persistence and the beauty of simply showing up. Tonight, I commit again to seek You dailyāin quiet moments, in hurried ones, and in everything in between. Keep my heart tender, my spirit expectant, and my life anchored in Your presence. In Jesusā name, Amen.
