I was both a 70s kid and an 80s kid, so I'll chime in ...

You had a trapper keeper
"Kawabunga dude ..."
You wondered why Smurfette had 20 of the same dress in her closet ...
Donkey Kong was the cutting edge in gaming
Your socks and shirt match and guess jeans were all the rage ...
Rap lyrics were about parties and fun and not about killing anyone
"I wanna rock right now, my name is Rob Base and I came to get down ..."
"Careless whispers ... on the dance floor"
"Let's go crazy ..."
You wanted a car like Michael Knight ...
You thought Remington Steele was really cute and you wanted to be Laura Holt
Scarecrow and Mrs. King seemed like a really plausible situation
You wore shoes with no socks and a pink linen jacket
Your mom called you in when the street lights came on
"Walk this way ... and talk this way ..."
"Welcome to the jungle ..."
You remember a "boot up" disk
Two words .... Dougie Howser
