Dear Heavenly Father I come to you in prayer
Asking Lord that you would be with all in the path of the storms
I ask you Lord for the Gov and State leaders to have wisdom and knowledge in directing evacuations.
I pray Lord that all will be in your hands and in your protection.
Keep your children safe Lord and watch over them.
I ask you Lord to ease their fears and help them to look to you in their time of need.
Lord I pray this storm will move quickly and go to the most desolate of areas.
Lord I pray that you will calm the winds and slow the rain.
I pray you will dissolve the eye of this storm as it moves with speed and stop it from gaining strength.
Lord I pray for all things this storm can affect. May our Lives,homes and economy be protected.
Please protect all the oil platforms and land areas which could directly effect our countries economy.
Lord I come seeking your mercy,love and compassion.
Help us Lord
Protect and keep us and be with us through the storm.

My son, daughter in law, and 2 month old grandbaby live between Houston and Galveston. They are holed up in a hotel near Austin.
Please protect them all those who evacuated and those who would not leave.
Houston is supposed to have 20 foot high wave surges for days AFTER the hurricane.
Oh, Lord, turn this storm back out to the Gulf, over water, where it can do no harm!
Protect all!
Protect our oil supplies also, Father. We are trying so hard to become independant of the Persian Guld, and not getting anywhere in that respect I feel.
Help Galveston, where my son works. They are going to get slammed, and I pray for Your divine intervention.
Thank you Jesus.
May you calm this (literal) storm.

Father,
Please have mercy on all who have been adversely affected by hurricane Ike and its spin-off storms. Use all who are in the recovery efforts and bless their efforts. Make the results of the recovery to be much, much better than what existed before the storm. We pray for your mercy in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
