Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Wish list (8/13/2008 10:42:37 AM)

If there is a message of mine that I want to save in a folder I just add my name to the to field of the PM. That way I get a copy too.

Aha! There's the solution! [sm=icon_smile_idea.gif]

Thanks, Fritz!

BuckeyeFanInFL -> RE: Wish list (8/13/2008 12:52:16 PM)

Any chance of making a folder dedicated to missions??? For example, we may be able to discuss missions preparation, field life, mission careers or different missions boards.

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: Wish list (8/13/2008 1:29:21 PM)

I suggest using Ministry Leaders.

Missionaries are considered ministry leaders.

ta_mosquito -> RE: Wish list (8/13/2008 1:32:35 PM)

Buckeye - that has been discussed in the past. But the truth of it is that there is very little demand for such a folder. It'd probably have very few posts/threads in it. You can post such threads in the Ministry Leaders folder.

MyCatSmokey2006 -> RE: Wish list (8/15/2008 11:55:26 PM)

I've got a suggestion for the search engine on these forums. How about we have an option where we can check for our posts on a specific date, instead of within or before 1 year. I want to know in advance of how many posts I'm going to lose and have tried to search for my August 2007 ones, but none came up. If what I've suggested is not possible, then can someone please tell me how I can perform this task?

The reason you want that result isn't even accurate.

Only threads that have been inactive for a year will be removed.

So you would need to have a set of parameters that displayed only threads that had been inactive for a year.

I wouldn't worry about it.

IWNTMOREOFHIM -> RE: Wish list (8/29/2008 12:11:55 AM)

I would like to see a new forum created...Can I do that?

Families with children with disabilities

Would be awesome to have a christian forum for this

do you mean a new thread? If so then in the parenting folder there is already a thread for families with "special needs" kids. LINK HERE

.Pammy -> RE: Wish list (8/31/2008 10:01:22 PM)

Is there a way to "subscribe" to a certain poster's posts? If not, I'd love that.

ta_mosquito -> RE: Wish list (8/31/2008 11:00:14 PM)

Nope, but you can search for posts by a certain author or go to their profile and get their posts from there.

humbleinspirit -> RE: Wish list (8/31/2008 11:02:13 PM)

Is it possible to put an option to subsribe to a thread at the bottom of a page? Right now if I find a thread that I am interested in following, but haven't posted in at all, I have to scroll back to the top to subscribe instead.

ta_mosquito -> RE: Wish list (8/31/2008 11:03:26 PM)

Mike - have you tried hitting the "Home" key?

humbleinspirit -> RE: Wish list (8/31/2008 11:06:31 PM)

I thought of that just as I was typing my post, I should try that.

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: Wish list (9/9/2008 12:47:01 PM)

I feel the need to start a campaign to have a clapping smiley added to our plethora of smileys. (Just think how often we could then "stand and applaud" the wonderful wise ones above us!!!)[:D]

Kath -> RE: Wish list (9/16/2008 10:26:22 AM)

some kind of coffee smiley would be nice.

stellaluna -> RE: Wish list (9/16/2008 10:49:56 AM)

I second the need for a coffee smiley.

Also, can we have one for cycling? [:D]

You and stella are just addicts![;)] But if they're having coffee smileys, can I have a hot chocolate one please.... come to think of it.... is there a chocolate smiley?[&:]

It would be nice to have threads we'd read in a different colour. I don't always remember thread titles and find I end up back in the same thread several times because as soon as someone else posts, the thread comes up in bold as if it were a new thread, when it's simply new posts...

Hmmm not sure that's very clear...

MyCatSmokey2006 -> RE: Wish list (9/21/2008 6:51:00 PM)

I have a suggestion for the Latest Threads sidebar: I think that it should also list the folder that the thread is in. Several times I've clinked on an interesting thread title, only to find myself accidently in the Teen or Men Only folders, neither of which I qualify for. [:o]

Just my two cents...

humbleinspirit -> RE: Wish list (9/21/2008 6:51:50 PM)

Now Melissa, that is not a sin at all. [;)]

agapetos -> RE: Wish list (9/21/2008 7:28:54 PM)

Melissa, that's been suggested before and as I recall, can't be done (or couldn't). As Mike said, it's not a sin, just posting is! If you're really concerned, then click on the link that will open a window which will show the latest posts and the folders they are in.

humbleinspirit -> RE: Wish list (9/21/2008 8:13:50 PM)

From my understanding, it is ok to post in the Teens folder just as long as you do not dominate the conversation at all.

Whew!
I was reading an interesting thread and when I went to the next page... [sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif] It was in the Men Only folder!

I left immediately!! Felt that someone, at some point, would send me a note telling me that I should be more careful. [sm=icon_smile_blush.gif]

Thanks for the info!
