My dear Lord
I came to this thread to read through the prayer request listed so I could left each one up in prayer. As I began to read each request I felt the familiar tug on my heart.
Glancing at the mental list I had made while reading I began to seek the words needed to pray for the request.
I glanced down to my computer screen and saw these words.....
"Your #1 prayer request"
It hit me Lord. The reason my prayer seemed flat, like just words spoken, was because that is what it was......just words.
My #1 prayer request Lord is not for John's father, Lisa, tlim's friends, labguy, Veronica or any of the other request....
I pray you work in those situations but they are not #1 request.....they are not what burdens my heart when I come to the singles thread nor when I read of the daily struggles we each face.
Lord what does make my heart beat faster allowing me to pray in Spirit and Truth is a desire......a hunger........a hope that each person, who I have come to care about, would learn to receive all that you wish to give us.
Lord I pray we become receivers from you.
I pray our lives are transformed as we receive more and more of your joy, peace, love, and kindness.
Lord I pray you will work in each of our lives in such a way that each of our #1 current prayer request will always be to experience you more each and every day.........
Lord I pray that the things which worry or concern us will always take second place to our desire to be one with you.
Father I lift up all the prayer request written and add one of my own......please Lord make us receivers.
Thank you Lord

Robb, I know I'm reading this kind of late but please do know that I will be in prayer for you. I am praying God will bring refreshment to your heart. And I pray He will give you wisdom if there's anything He is trying to direct you in.
And lifting your father-in-law in prayer, John.

Adding that to my prayer list. I pray God would either help your body adjust to the meds or they could find something that works without having side problems.

I am dealing with a really, really, really bad toothache (in 3 places). I had an earache last week (end) that spread to my sinuses, so I am taking antibiotics for that... and I'd really like it ALL to go away...

Oh Kim! I've suffered from ear infections since I was 3 months old. I am praying!!!!!!!

praying all.
I mentioned (I think) the situation between mom and her daughter. but let me replay it.
As you know M died almost three years ago. Mom and dad had just the two daughters. T, M's sister, married a guy who is very much "Me and my four no more" So T has grown increasingly estranged from mom and dad. Mom feels like both her daughters have died.
Please pray that T and her family will repent and come make things right with mom and dad.
(Also remember Dad's shoulder for a healing)

I have a prayer request.
My cousin, who is only 42, died early yesterday morning.
She was not sick but went to the doctor because her leg hurt. They could not find anything wrong except she was very dehydrated so they admitted her for observations and to get fluids in her.
While walking from the bathroom she stopped breathing. They tried cpr but could not get her lungs working.
The autopsy revealed she had a clot in a major artery which was blocking blood flow through her lungs.
The family is not doing well.......
My uncle, who was closest to my father but not the father of my cousin who passed away, is really doing poorly.
I talked to him on the phone and all he could keep saying is everyone is dying.......I didn't know what to say because I feel the same way.
I know that tomorrow I will be strong but tonight I just feel so very tired and worn out from crying with others......
I can't go to the viewing or funeral, which is tomorrow, because I will be picking K up from the airport, taking her to the house her mother died in for the first time and watching the video of the funeral with her.
To be honest I am not sure I can do this.......
Please pray for Kimer, my cousin's family and my uncle...
Please pray for me as well.
Also if you would please pray for the children of my cousin.
She was remarried and her two boys were from the first husband who never had any type of relationship with them.
The youngest has been with his "step" father since he was two. The family is really afraid the biological father will take him now.........My cousin's husband wanted to adopt him a long time ago but the biological father would not give up parental rights....even though he has never been a part of his life.
My heart is just broken for the family.........

You know what I think is the hardest part......I am so busy crying for everyone else pain that I don't have time to pray for my own........I don't know if that makes sense........
She was my cousin and we grew up together.........kimber's mom was really special to me as well.........
I feel like I can't grieve because it takes to much from me to carry part of their grief........
I don't know I am just so tired.......
I finished crying for my father.........God wiped my tears but they keep coming back for others........and I think I am all cried out........I have nothing left.
I am sorry everyone for rambling.......
I am sitting outside trying to see the moon and stars but all there is is blackness.........
My uncle sounded so lost........so very sad........so very weary........I hurt so bad for him.........and for my cousins parents.....
I am so tired of my heart hurting......
I need to go for a walk in the woods.......I am going to go sneak into the state park and go for a walk......

praying for all. it seems there is so much death and heartache lately.
Lord...wrap Your arms around my CW friends and their family and loved-ones. You know their pain. May they find peace in You, Father.
And Terri...praying for your job situation...along with susan and anyone else still searching.

Joy, I am praying for you and your family during this time of sorrow.
I have a prayer request for one of our pastors on staff here. He is our evangelist that has wife, two little ones and a booked calendar. Just recently, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. The surgery was scheduled for this morning, but his flight from Africa was delayed. He is scheduled to speak at a Singles retreat in October. Please pray that by His awesome power, the cancer is removed and this pastor will be recover to continue this ministry that he loves so much.

Kuku, I am lifting you in prayer. I pray God would bring healing quickly.
And praying for the family situation, John. I pray there would be reconciliation. Also praying for healing for the dad.
And praying, Joy for you and your family. My heart goes out to you. When you wrote that short little sentence "I am just so tired...." I so understand that. I think that's why I litterally broke down and slept for 2 days straight last week. Just blow after blow and I know you have gone through a lot as well. I am praying for you with a very deep understanding. Someone from here shared a wonderful verse with me last week and I'm going to share it with you....The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit...Psalms 34:18
And lifting your pastor and his family offtheisland. I do pray there would be healing. And I pray for peace for him and his family.

and, if you would remember me & the kiddos....
Twin #1 left this morning for college -- she went a very long way away. We all had a hard time watching her leave  -------- Oh but she was so excited!! 
Twin #2 leaves next Friday... again, it will be a very long way away & hard on all of us
I did half way ok, until I turned down the recall position w/ the school district here and said yes, I'm moving back closer to my family ------ then I fell apart! 
I don't have a job, don't have a place to live over there, need to sell my house, need to move in the next 3 weeks and.....
I'm scared, I'm excited, I'm sad, I'm happy -- my emotions are all over the place, but I'm listening to the Lord and stepping out of the boat, onto the water -- I'll fix my eyes on Him

Please pray for GP1 and The Beau as they begin the 1300 mile trek back to Texas in the morning. They will spend tomorrow night with BP2, then he will join them for the rest of the journey back home.
All my babies will be home for a few days.
