first, please pray for healing. i was carrying a TV into the house tues a.m. and slammed my knee into the door jamb...hard enough to cut my knee thru my jeans. needless to say, i also feell (into the house, onto the carpet, fortunately). definitely not my most graceful moment. ended up in the ER and getting x-rays. didn't seem to do any more damage, but, of course, it's the same knee i injured in jan...which had me on medical leave for 2.5 months.

which leads me to my 2nd prayer request...they won't let me have just a few days off, since i'm on this part-time board...so i can't go back to work til next wed...which means 2 weeks with no income. never a good idea...especially after being on work comp for a couple months (read: reduced income).

Lots of needs in here today....I prayed for each one of you as I read. I know God will meet each of you in the need you have laid before Him.

Well, I had said that I wasn't going to apply for any other jobs until I know for sure they are letting me go from this job once the merge is complete but I did apply for one today. I don't think this was something done out of haste...in fact I think even if I weren't facing the possibility of not having a job in a month I would have still applied for it. It seems to be something that would be a perfect match for me. So, I'm just asking for God's will in this. It will be exactly a month from today that they close the door at my office. I mostly feel peace about it. Just an occasional moment of nervousness.

Request:

I mentioned before that I had told my DS that he needed to move out...
he is with National Guards and a friend who is also w/ the Guards, heard about some of the things he has been doing, so he and DS's superiors, removed him (and PTL his guns!) from my house this afternoon. I am very thankful for this, but DS is very angry at me because we took action. I am sure that DS never thought I would do anything. Will you pray for us tonight and over the next few days as DS calms down and realizes the whys & whatfores of what has happened...

Praying tlims! I'm sure that is tough but it sounds like you're doing just what needs to be done. He may not apreciate it now but I pray some day he will see the wisdom in this and how it is only to help him to grow in character.

Praise God that there are others involved who are supporting you AND are there for your son. I am praying specifically that he will listen to them.

I'll be praying Collie. I pray the doctors will be able to figure out what is going on and that God would guide them as to how to treat it.

Please keep us posted.

They decided not to move him until at least tomorrow.
He is very sedated, but the restraints have been removed. When he wakes up he does make a couple jokes like, 'they don't know it yet, but I am pregnant.'

Just a quick update, neither the CAT-SCAN nor the MRI showed anything abnormal, and they haven't taken him to Salt Lake yet either.

I'm sure that's got to be a little frustrating for the family to not have any answers yet. I will pray for peace for all the family and also that God would direct the doctors so that they will be able to figure out what the problem is.

Hey peeps...

Remember when I told you that Twin #1 was running on a hurt ankle??
Yeah, well.... 2 weeks, a ton of x-rays, and an MRI later, we finally found out that it was broken! It's a stable fracture, so it hasn't moved, but gracious me -- she ran on it! And as my youngest ds said... Mom! Can you imagine what those girls will feel like when they find out that either she beat them and she was running on a broken bone or knowing that she was right behind them running w/ a broken bone? Wow... and she was less than a minute off of her best time!! Ugh! Rather makes me shudder at this point..

But would you pray that it heals quickly and that she hasn't damaged it w/ all the walking, running & etc, that she has been doing?

Well gang, I have some major decisions to make in the coming days. Please pray for clear direction from the Lord. I desire to get a master's degree so I can teach at the college. My "gut feeling" right now is to leave the college and find something that pays decent enough that I don't have to work 2 jobs, and that will allow for me to pay for school myself. It may take slightly longer, but as soon as I have the degree, I will be able to begin teaching - either online or in the classroom. I have always wanted to teach in my passion - disasters. I believe I may have found a place to do it - online - that is marginally affordable.

Anyway, I need real direction here. All prayers are greatly appreciated. I only want to do what God wants/needs for me to do that will bring Him all the glory. If it doesn't do that, then I want nothing to do with it.

Wow having chipped a bone in an ankle and broken an arm at the elbow I can only imagine the pain from running on a broken bone. I will keep her in my prayers.
