I have been playing with my new camera. With a 2 gig SD card and the highest JPEG setting I can take 400 pictures before I have to change the card. I may have to change the battery pack though.

Hi Trishy,

It is amazing the difference in my mindset between shooting a film and digital camera. With film I am careful to have everything set up when I take a picture. With digital I take more of the same shot to get the best one.

I shout about 80 images of my cats.

But the nice thing about that is...you can shoot a hundred for practially nothing on digital and eliminate on the spot what you don't like. No wasted prints etc. It's great.

I got some good news yesterday. One of my pictures has been chosen to be in the Wichita Botanica Show this winter. I will put it up as an avatar later on.

You took a picture of your eye? How could you see to snap it? Didn't the flash blind you?

My sister called me tonight with news that my uncle has passed away. He was my mother's brother. I have only one aunt still living.

I have realized that my cousins, my sister and I are now the older generation.

Gary, I'm sorry to hear about your aunt.

My mom said the same thing recently. She said it's a very odd feeling.

Praying for your family.

It's always tough to loose a loved one. Prayers for you & yours

It's kinda' tough when that fact hits ya' one day that you're now the older generation....
why is it we don't feel old inside but "whippersnappers" think we are "ancient" once we're over 30 and wondering how we are even still alive if we're over 50??!!!
I recall (seems like only yesterday, well, week before last...LOL) when I thought that same way

Under 3 days 'til Breeders' Cup !!!!!!!

((((Gary)))). Gosh, I didn't realize it had been so long since I had been to your thread! Sorry to hear about your uncle.

And it was in another thread today that I "heard" about one of your pics being chosen!! That's terrific. Did you post that you had one chosen last year too?
