Hmmm, now the pretend gift for her doesn't seem very feminine at all.

Well it's just a pretend gift... if I actually had to buy that I'd be in trouble...

Sorry to sound anti-American but I would rather have a Toyota.

Hey everyone! I'm back! Didja miss me? I've just been busy and then too tired and lazy to get online. But I'm here now!

Thank you for all the gifts! Hehe And what other games can we com up with? Oh I know...why doesn't everyone just post some advice for John and I about marriage.

Betty I didn't forget about you winning the last game I had here. You still get the mentioned prize.

So I've decided to go ahead and let someone make the slideshow for me. John's brother is having some pictures sent down. It will be so much easier for me since many of the pics are older and need to be scanned. Oh and good news everyone...someone from John's family WILL attend the wedding! His sis is coming. My co-worker, who is part Hawaiian insisted that someone from his family be there. He even said he couldn't sleep cause he was sad about it. Here in Hawaii, especially Hawaiian culture, if someone in the family can't come they wouldn't have it until someone could come. Family is very important here. John is happy now that someone is coming. Never put much thought until this time about it and now that someone will be here, he is happier.

A Toyota? Can't argue with that... They are good vehicles... I like their SIENNA too...

I think the best advice would be to remember the One that brought you two together...

I only had 18 people from California at our weddng, so I am sad John will only have his sister. Every time I watch the video and see how empty my side of the church was, I feel sad...and cheated. It must be hard on your John. The one that moves, although he or she does it very willingly, makes a huge sacrifice that the other spouse can never fully comprehend.

I'm glad at least his sister's coming! Will any of his friends be there?

I'll share the best marriage advice I got: When troubles come, turn to each other rather than on each other.

Also, good manners towards each other are essential! Remembering to say "please" and "thank you" (especially in the seemingly little things) keep you from taking each other for granted. In my marriage, I was surprised by how important good manners were.

And, Trishy, NEVER tell your mom anything negative about John! If you really need to confide in a third party (which should be rare, anyway), go to your rabbi and his wife. But do not allow your mom to think ill of her son-in-law. Doing so will cause a myriad of problems.

Lastly (for now) don't panic when (not if, but when) the romantic feelings subside. That's when you see God's wisdom in calling for commitment. Pray and work to restore romance, but realize that the unromantic seasons are perfectly normal. In those times, lean on 1 Corinthans 13 and remember that love is what you do, not always what you feel!

It's not un american to buy a toyota or honda. I'm getting tired of the argument. The management at GM/Ford and Chrysler is to blame for their business model. I have been a contractor in some way for all 3 of them and they do not have loyalty to their employees. They have consistently been losing money on the us operations. Their overseas sales is what's been keeping them afloat. Meanwhile they are moving more engineering jobs overseas.

And don't complain about buying american cars and do all your shopping at Wal-Mart.

My Matrix has a bigger resale value than the Vibe and it is basically the same car with different accessories and its only because the Toyotas are rated better for reliability.

ok back to the wedding talk

Now the minivan has to have wood paneling, and a luggage rack. Also she would to prefer the radio be only AM. No FM,or CD.. Maybe an 8 track tape player
Oh I do agree with Jill. The american auto manufacturers like ford,gm,dodge-chrysler have gotten so bad that even my younger brother bought an Isuzu (sp) Rodeo.

A good marriage is the union of two good forgivers.
Ruth Bell Graham

For a marriage to have any chance, every day at least six things should go unsaid.
Unknown

I like not only to be loved, but to be told that I am loved; the realm of
silence is large enough beyond the grave.
George Eliot

Ultimately the bond of all companionship, whether in marriage or in friendship,
is conversation.
Oscar Wilde

Marriage is not just spiritual communion, it is also remembering to take out the trash.
Joyce Brothers

What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?
George Eliot

I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
Rita Rudner

Ok I had cereal.

Anyone see the new Dinner Impossible? Chocolate covered bacon anyone? That sounds good actually. The salty and the sweet.

I tried Pop Rocks chocolate! Fun!

So Macy's has a really good sale that ends today. I got a few tops and a skirt on Saturday and being that I still desperately need more work clothes, I'm going today. Ha. I got these these cute knit tops for $11.99 in two colors. Very nice price for Macy's. I'm gonna see what else they have.

Wow. Look at all the expensive cars!!!!

That marriage advice is wonderful. I don't think I have any. Remember to always be involved in each other's interests to some degree... and ask each other how each other's day has gone.

Marriage advice- I heard this at a bridal shower:

The first night, be sure to choose your side of the bed well, because that will be the side you sleep on for the rest of your life!

Hahahahaha! That's the best gift yet Gary. Think of all the GT's I could go to. Hehe. Hey there! Good to see ya on the island again. How are ya? You know Gary, you remind me of one of my friends. Only he is the non caucasian version of you.

That's great advice slushie. Thank you!

Omigosh. I got another 6 pieces of clothing today at the sale. Such a great sale! I had to stop otherwise I would have bought the whole place. For me, I have to be in the mood to shop, otherwise I don't care for it. I was definitely in the mood today. Ha. Good thing I actually need clothes. I could use another top and a black pant actually. Ack. I also got this very nice waist bag for my trip. I'm so excited cause I haven't traveled and had a real vacation in a long time.
