I told him to buy the necessities only for now. But he thinks it IS one. Go figure. Spoiled brat! I told him to have a milkshake only once a week cause it's bad for you. He said yeah ok, I'll have one super sized milkshake a week and cupped his hand about the size of a melon.

All you gotta do is steal the Ice Cream.

I was thinking actually of making our own. That's IF someone buys us the ice cream maker that listed in our registry. lol! This way, I can make healthier versions of it.

Upon unloading some things today, I discovered that my mom bought him this old style coffee grinder. It's the kind you have to turn. What's cool is that it goes straight into an airtight canister! It looks neat too. That and the retro/chrome milk shake mixer thingy make very nice decor. I mean really, I put those two things on the top display shelf for decor when not in use.

What I really want from our registry is the cast iron crock pot and cast iron indoor grill.

Good morning/afternoon!

Thank you for sharing your ice cream logs with me. On that note here, have some Lehua Honey and Cream ice cream! MMMMMMMM!

How do you like my new blog? Helpful hints? Are YOU the model customer?

I sooo have to remember to call the restaurant during lunch today to ask them if 51 people is ok. I am sure they can squeeze in one extra person.

That sounds yummy slush! How was your weekend sweetie?

Omigosh Betty. That's right. Free food! But I like Becky's idea about haviing a virtual shower here. Who want's to plan this for me??? You could all pretend to buy me things off our registry. Or you can be totally ridiculous and act like you are millionaires. That would hilarious!

I want a virtual shower! Stomps her feet

Hope you get them. I didn't get all the things I really wanted, and we couldn't afford to get them for ourselves. We got some really tacky stuff too. I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but please don't count on your registry...especially the expensive items. Amazingly, I did get my Califon cookware, but that was aa miracle!

That's why I bought myself the good stuff, my family doesn't listen to what I want (christmases are a perfect example). My registry shall consist of towels and plates and a kitchen aid stand mixer. I had to buy my own wine glasses. Like i'd turn into an alcoholic. So I drank my wine out of regular glasses for a couple years.

All I want is the kitchen aid stand mixer. That's it.

Slush hope your week slows down for ya hun. Have more lehua honey and cream ice cream!

Deb with some of the guests we just may get the good stuff. When I got my MSW one of my mom's friends got me a gold Hawaiian bracelet with an inscription inside. They are rich so they see the gift as perfect. So who knows? That plus my relatives from Japan tend to fork out a lot for gifts. I'm happy with whatever they get me but I have to admit...I'm excited!

Jill my mom wants to give me her kitchen aid mixer and get the professional one. But I have never baked yet. Gotta learn I suppose. Hehe.

My mom also got several things on my registry already too including the All Clad Waffle maker. We've been getting JOHN'S things! lol

That's what Ronnie's mom gave us for our wedding. It is awesome! Absolutely one of my most favorite kitchen appliances. Even if your just making a cake mix from a box, that thing will whip it up quick right away!

Baking is easy, just follow the directions.

I've never used a stand mixer but its easier with larger quantities. I've used a hand mixer so far.

Yes you just have to measure exactly though in baking. If you bake cake or brownies use a toothpick to check the center and if it comes out clean then it's done.

I like to bake. Cooking is harder for me. Some people can't do both or they can do one or the other.

I like to bake too! It makes me happy baking for church events. And not only because my youth pastor will really really go on about how good my brownies are.

Duct tape??

Duct tape??

Duct tape (sometimes called duck tape; see under Etymology) is a vinyl, fabric-reinforced, multi-purpose pressure sensitive tape with a soft and tacky pressure sensitive adhesive. It is generally silver or black in color but many other colors and transparent tapes have recently become available. With a standard width of 17⁄8 inches (48 mm), duct tape was originally developed during World War II in 1942 as a waterresistant sealing tape for ammunition cases.[1][2] Permacel, then a division of Johnson & Johnson, used a rubber-based adhesive to help the tape resist water and a fabric backing to add strength. It was also used to repair military equipment quickly, including jeeps, guns, and aircraft because of these properties. In Canadian military circles, this variant is known as "gun-tape", typically olive-green, and also known for its resistance to oils and greases. Duct tape is also called "100-MPH tape" in the military [3], due to the fact that soldiers often refer to something that exceeds expectations as "High Speed."

Pretend gifts? Now that's fun. I'd probably send you some of my jewelry.
