I don't think you can get small pox anymore. I think. Speaking of poxes (lol), did everyone get it? Is there someone here who never got it? I does come back as shingles later in life.

Question...am I the only one in Hawaii who dislikes Obama? lol Hawaii is known to support anyone that has lived here.

I had chicken pox, so I'm hoping I won't get shingles. My mother-in-law had shingles two years ago, and it wasn't fun. But I'd prefer shingles to having Obama as President!

I've actually had chicken pox twice. Despite science teachers not believing me

. The first time I was a baby w/ only a few spots. The doc said that my immune system had not been built up yet so it was possible I'd catch it again. I did at age 11. Miserable time!!!!!

That's interesting Tina. I didn't think you could get it twice either. I hear once you get it, it stays with you cause it's a virus. That is why we get shingles later in life. I hear it's the same virus. But the older you are, the worse it is. I got mine in my early twenties. It started out as cold. Then while I was lying down I felt a fever come on. I went to the bathroom and to my horror was one big mess. lol Ewe!

Swings on my hammock and thinks happier thoughts...

I just watched the two episodes of the old show "Step by Step" where they went to Maui. It is funny to see people sitting out in the beach in a swim suit when I sitting here huddled under a blanket.

It was summer here for a few days and then it reverted back to early spring.

So after work I drove down to the Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange where they have outside kiosks (the public can buy things. I think.) I went down to check out a store that sells products made from minerals from the Dead Sea. I heard it's pretty good stuff. I bought a set of some basic facial products...a facial soap, a moisturizer, an exfoliating peel and a night cream. Can't wait to try it.

Question of the day...have you been to the Dead Sea before and soaked in it?
