No worries John, now I knew something looked odd about that, but I just couldn't put my finger on it at all.

Hi Melissa, how are you doing?

And in keeping with other threads I thought that I would ask a question too. Ok, my first question, do you find the links in my signature helpful? Also, do you think that others find them useful as well?

Well, despite my sore throat, runny nose, sinus congestion and drinking full strength coffee so I don't fall asleep posting this, I feel fine.

I'm just hoping to be able to post coherently in my blog today, as I want to share something that inspired me. I need some more coffe first, though.

I've not checked your links out yet, but will do so soon.

How are you doing?

Good morning Melissa, one of the links is to this thread here.

I am doing ok, feeling lazy on the weekend as usual.

I read your blog just a few minutes ago. Good scriptures to remember and live by.

Hi Mike. I'm new here and I found my way to this thread by your link from the weather thread. I thought you would like to know it is useful. I guess I should go off and ask you a question now

By the way hi to all you others in here too. Hope to meet you as well, sometime soon

Hiya Terri, Rach, AlphaCentauri, Judy, Sara and Deb!

Deb, the weather has been really nice here also. I just do not like getting caught in the rain at all.

Judy, thank you for stopping by, I hope all is well with you! Also, cool pic of your nephew also!

AlphaCentauri, interesting name, glad that you decided to stop by and post here in my thread too!

Terri, my week is going ok, as usual I will be glad when it is the weekend!

Sara, how is your week going so far?

OK, new question(s) for you all!

1) How Did You Find Forums?

2) When was your first post?

3) Which folder/thread did you first post in?

4) Which folders do you most frequent now?

I'll start: I first came to Crosswalk around 1998 due to a radio commercial that I had heard. It was the only Christian website that I knew at the time. A couple of years later I got a computer and signed up for Crosswalkmail. They used to have email but not anymore, but anyway.

Around the Summer of 2000, I discovered forums. I lurked for about 6 weeks then made my very first posting in Tech Issues. It was a thread about web-filters on the internet. The very next thread that I posted in was General Topics (which later became the Community folder) "When I see you name on Crosswalk, I envision..." That was a really fun thread!

These days I pretty much post all over the place, however I can mostly be found in "Personally for You", "She Says"(I start a lot of threads there, so I can respond there too! ), Singles, Music and Moral Issues.

Thats the most about me, what about y'all?

I found forums thru another site when I was looking for Christian talk radio--that was in June of this year. I don't know where I posted first time but now I spend most of my time in PFY, Community Lounge, Morality and Ethics. I did wander in Singles some but that got a bit frustrating for this ole girl. I like debate but have a hard time with those that just refuse to agree to disagree on some things.

One thing I have found--this could be addictive--another thread was just started about this--so I have to discipline myself or I would become glued to this computer.

Hi Mike, Good to see you back. Here are my answers to your questions:

1) How Did You Find Forums?
I found them through the Singing News website. It was a totally new concept to me.

2) When was your first post?
My first post was sometime in January of this year.

3) Which folder/thread did you first post in?
My first and only stop for a very long time was in Southern Gospel.

4) Which folders do you most frequent now?
You will find me now in SG, PFY, Humor & Games, Blog Towne and once in a while I go to Community Lounge.

I have found that being the new kid on the block is a real challenge. There are still some people who will NOT respond to my posts regardless of what I say. I am generally a pretty serious person and that may turn some people off. I love it here and am not planning on going anywhere. So thanks for being my friend Mike.

.... I found the forums when I was looking for free Christian resources... Crosswalk is hard to miss!!! I think that was around 2002-2003ish.

I don't remember my first post, first thread... or anything like that...

Now I frequent mostly PFY... and if I have time... I venture out to anything else of interest at that time...

hi mike, I took the name from my hobby which is astronomy. alphacentauri is a star name which points to the Southern Cross which is a constellation in the Southern Hemisphere. See my signature.
In some way I hope can be/am someone who points people to another cross. the cross of Jesus christ.
Your question reminds me I want to put a bit more info in my signature.

you can call me Gary
Thanks

hi saraimay,
NZ is a small country with just over 4 million people on islands about the size of Japan. There is only one real major city, Auckland in the North Island with about 1.2 million people. I live in the South Island which has less people than Auckland. NZ has always had a strong rural farming industry but is now making a name in tourism and other industries as well.

NZ is a very western country though and it's culture is very similar to Australia and I suppose the USA but I haven't been to USA to really know it's only what I see on tv news movies etc... It seems very similar to me.

where I live summer temperatures sometimes get to 30deg c and winter about minus 5deg c.

Gary
