Mike, WBZ said they'll be digging up lines well into the summer! I'm hoping John and I will still be able to get around in Boston!

ORIGINAL: humbleinspirit Yes, well the water leak turned gas leak went into its third day. While the water leak was fixed very quickly, as you are aware, the gas leak that it also caused was still being fixed. Being at work yesterday and today, outside parts of Downtown wreaked of the gad odor. Also, some businesses have been without gas as well. Clean Harbors has been around too pumping out all the water that ended up in the gaslines as well. Finally the gas has dissipated and hopefully businesses will be back with service real soon! Now there is one place that I eat at occasionally owned by a husband and wife who I feel bad for because they have gone 2 days without gas, thus being closed! Prayers are appreciated. Thanks, Mike Hopefully Deb and I will get back into Boston next week and nearly every week this spring, summer, and fall. You'll have to let know more about that eating place that were without gas for 2 days and had to be closed. Maybe Deb and I could meet you there for lunch to give them some extra business.

Ok, this is my first day back posting after not being around for a few days. They finally have people in the Financial District back with gas. Now this didn't just affect Downtown but the North End as well. The whole thing is a big mess and Clean Harbors trucks have been around all week! I am surely happy that it is the weekend! I think that I am gonna try to relax for a bit but catch up on some of the forums (but not all) tonight as I have an astounding 80 something to read! This is partly because I signed off early on Tuesday evening when I still had around 50 still to read as well, oh well. BTW, has anyone caught Ravi Zacharias on Focus On The Family this week at all? He has been really good!

Did you hear about the manhole fires in Harvard Square and Dorchester, Mike? I'm thinking the city's cable system is in serious trouble!

Hiya Deb, I heard about Harvard Square, but not in Dorchester though, but then again I haven't read the news since this morning though. I went ahead and ventured into Cambridge to see Expelled!, it was good! The theater was quite empty, which was to be expected, and the ticket agent who sold me my ticket while not rude, didn't say anything to me when I made the purchase. The person before me and the person after me he said "enjoy the show" too. Then again I was seeing a documentary and they were seeing a comedy, but still I think I knew what he thought about it. Anyway, I do highly recommend the film! And the Fresh Pond area seems a lot safer than it used to be, but then again it was cold out though, oh well. I hope that you and John go get to see it none the less!

Thank you Ray, Sam, Terri and Sara! I just got back from the Dr's office a little while ago. They want me to relax, rest on my back, sit down, take it easy, do not stay in one position for too long for a few days. I will have a follow-up on Tuesday morning to see if I am back to my normal self or not. Anyway, I half way welcome the time off. Perhaps it is long about time that I start looking for a new job as well.

Hi Sam, I lifted a box of 100# paper. This is not regular paper and it is even much heavier than the well known cardstock as well. This is used for printing stuff usually.

A box of 100# cardstock type paper must be mighty heavy. Ouch. Well, Mike, I hope you get to make good use of your time off. It would be nice if you could locate a good paying job that you would enjoy doing and would be easier on your back. With our chairs not in tip top shape it might be a little while before we can get into Boston to meet you for lunch. I'm looking forward to doing so whenever it works out. I hope your back doesn't keep you awake at night. Deb and I will be praying that it mends quickly.

Thanks John and Deb! It is feeling alright at the moment for the most part, however I am slouching in my chair at the computer so that it doesn't hurt as much though. I usually sit up straight instead. I will likely use the time to pray, catch up, play on forums and do some reading as well.
