Ahhh, now why am I sensing that you are just slightly older than me? I do not remember the Yellow jets, however I do remember Value Jet though, and I am a fan of Southwest Airlines as well. Ever see their show on cable? I am happy that the light rail will be of a benefit to you. Living in Boston up to 50% of people use the subway and bus system. It is an easy way to get around, if not a little inconsistent. I am fortunate to live on a line that is quite reliable with reliable buses to boot!

Yes, you are just a tad older than me, no worries though, I like older women. So basically the airline is all Northwest now, eh? So how many little ones do you have, just one, or more? Am I prying too much?

Please, my life is pretty open. Well, okay, I have some things that I don't disclose, but don't we all. I was blessed with only one child. He turned 12 this week. I should probably not call him little, he's almost as tall as me! But, then again, I'm only 5'1. His dad is tall. I probably know too much about airline stuff because my family is into airplanes. My dad was an airline mechanic for his entire career. One job. Very impressive! Three brothers who got pilot licenses. I wanted to be a flight attendant (okay, back in the day they were called stewardesses, you remember that, right?), but with the height requirements, the shortest height was with Japan Airlines, which was 5'2. I wished I was an inch taller. I've always had a huge fascination with Japan and Japanese things.

Maybe if you wore heels. Anyway, airlines fascinate me. I did actually do a temp job working at the airport one weekend. That was interesting! This was way long before 9/11. So, were you married, divorced? I know, many questions. Ever been to Boston?

I hate it when my foot falls to sleep during the day because that means it will be up all night! --- Steven Wright. I used to rent movies but not watch them. I am watching a Just Shoot Me marathon on TV Land. I haven't seen that show in a while. Its amazing how fast time goes by. I remember watching Just Shoot Me when it was a new show about 10 years ago. Oh, here is a blast from the past, The Breakfast Club will be on Friday! Whatever happened to Molly Ringwald and Alie Sheedy, etc? Hmmm, 2:30AM here now, its getting late and I keep dozing off at the sofa. The ding sound on my computer alerts me every 10 minutes when there are new postings in my subscribed threads. Its nice that Mark was able to update some of the classic features of the original Crosswalk! Ok, catch ya on the next post!

How do you get the computer to alert you to postings? I'm not much of a techie person........ I do get pop-ups and a ding when I get new emails, which I like. It's a very cool feature. You can subscribe to threads and when you click on my subscriptions in the my forums screen, it will ding every time there is a new message, and the screen refreshes every 10 minutes. What I have been doing is putting up that screen and walking away from the computer between postings. I haven't seen the David Spade movie or Theres Something About Mary at all. It is probably good that you do not watch much tv, there isn't a whole lot worth seeing anyhow. What do you do for work?

Really, they have law firms in Phoenix? Actually what I do for work is copying. This is what happens when you don't go to college. Anyway, I will get my dream job someday, until then I just do what I have to do. I am gonna be going to bed shortly.

I have to admit that this work was a total God thing! My family couldn't afford to send me to college, so I took out a loan in my own name, and went to a business college. Took a 2-year program to earn a certificate to be a legal secretary, with the intent of working my way through college and law school. But as it turned out, being a secretary was my niche, and I really enjoy it. Working with IP attorneys was another God thing. I had never heard of that area of law. So ...... I didn't really have much to do with it, to be honest. I was just in the right place at the right time. kwim? It'll work out for you too. What kind of stuff do you enjoy doing?

I am happy that you found your niche, many people who work never find what they are good at. Do you work at a small, medium or large or a really small firm? Really small, I'd say less than 10 people, Small, up to about 50-100 attorneys, med 100-200 attorneys, large, 400-500 plus. I love working with computers, I also love the medium of Broadcasting, radio in particular. I have a natural feel for both those things. Thats what I do when I am not doing my real job.

I work for a very large, international firm. They treat their employees like gold. I wasn't looking for a new job, one of the attorneys I was working with moved firms, and he asked me to come over. It has been a tremendous blessing in so many ways!! Before finding my place in the legal field, I actually worked for a college that taught broadcast communications. It was really fun to meet some of the top deejays in towns, because they would come and teach classes at the college. A very fun experience It was through that means that I ended up in California ...... they moved me to work in the district office when someone went out on maternity leave, and they transferred me to California when they opened a new school out there. Since you are good with computers, let me tell you a little secret: I am not. I can provide an occasional source of amusement for our IT group. I just take it with good humor. We have a little secret handshake. And one of the guys in IT is who introduced me to my new church. He used to teach in the children's ministry. So, all in all, God has it all planned out for a good reason. Our God is an awesome God!!!! Couldn't help myself there. It's so true!! When that song comes on, I just crank the radio. Goes along well with my little car with the fish firmly lodged just below the FOCUS. Yeah, I had that all planned out....... Speaking of music, and hearing from a source that you like music, do you have a favorite group?

Good Morning Sam, I do not know if you come on here on Sundays or not. Do I have a favorite group? Does Weird Al Yankovic count? He is the guy who is actually in my avatar holding the sign with the question marks. Everytime I am asked this question I seem to draw a blank or mention generic bands that I like but missing the ones that I really like. I will have to get back to you. Oh, I do like Natalie Grant, she is good! Michael W. Smith, Steve Taylor. Secular, I like Maroon 5, as well as a few others also. I like a couple of Nickleback tunes, but thats it. I finally went to bed last night, now here I am in the AM.

I responded this morning, but I guess I forgot to hit the button saying to stay logged on all day. Ooops. So my post didn't post. Grrrrrr That alarm went off pretty early this morning! It's dark and rainy again, and even though it was 7:00, it was pitch black outside. I absolutely love going to church in the rain!! When everyone is quiet, and we are praying, we can hear the rain falling on the roof ........ it is an amazing time feeling God so close. There is no mistaking hearing Him in the sound of the rain. What about your church? The ones I've been to in NYC have high roofs, and some had attics, but that's not the norm out here. Well, not the churches I like to go to anyway. Do you go to a big church or a small one? I was really excited about going to church this morning ..... our pastor is doing a 4-part series that he was thinking about calling "Because I Said So". LOL They are based on the commands that Jesus gave us. Today he taught on Mark 12:28-31, where Jesus tells us to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. And, yes, we sang that song as part of the worship! I'll be typing up my sermon notes and putting them in my PFY thread. I haven't done that in a while. I was going through some *stuff*, and everything that wasn't absolutely necessary got placed on hold. Gotta do that sometimes, ya know? As usual, God once again proved that I could trust Him and depend on Him. He always does. He is pretty awesome!! Music, well, I have a pretty big collection of praise and worship CD's that I listen to. I like a pretty wide variety, from Phillips Craig & Dean, Hillsongs (Darlene Zschech), Reuben Morgan, Ray Boltz, Keith Green, Point of Grace, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Bruce Cockburn, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, Newsong (you put a newsong in my heart, a hymn of praise to you..... Psalm 40) ..... LOL! I have a whole bunch of stuff My friends always get a kick out of me when I read the Bible and see the words to a song right there!!! It's very exciting Natalie Grant sang a song ...... I can't remember the name of it just now ...... live when she was here for the broadcast at KLOVE. Ohmygosh! It is so incredibly beautiful, every time they play it, I cry. She has such a pure clear voice. Oh! I remember, it goes "this is what it means, to be loved ....." Always gives me chills, every time I hear it. Oh wow, I think I need to take a Sunday afternoon nap! LOL I hope your day is going really well!

I missed church again, this morning. I have kinda been in between churches of late, but yes I know, church is important! Sounds like you had a great day at church today. Natalie Grant has a song called "Held" which is a true story about someone going through very difficult losses, and God holding them. Its actually snowing outside right now, I really oughta go do something today, however the snow is kind of a set back though. The last church that I have attended used to be an old gym that was converted into a church. It is quite small and cannot contain all the people who attend there, so there are multiple services instead. It is in the middle of the city and I now live in the Suburbs, so it kinda take a bit of energy to get there. Not much else happening today, thanks for responding! Blessings, Mike

Hey Mike--they didn't predict this much snow! Good thing John and I hadn't booked a ride for church. What a bad winter, huh? Guess it'll be a while before we see Boston again!
