Here are a couple of photos that I took today while strolling in Boston:

I made myself go outside today and went to the mall. I looked at various travel books, but the most notable ones on London. Needless to say London is a very expensive city to visit! You only get 60 cents on the dollar over there.

Also, there were no chairs there either so I had to sit on a stool. A little while later I went to electronics store next to it and found that they had 3 leather chairs. This is a store that normally does not have any seating at all. It is my thinking that this store stole the seats from the book store.

Anyway, living in Boston is improving for me but it is still a bustling and stressful place to be though. Oh well, at least the town where I live right now is pleasant and relaxing most of the time.

Ever have someone send you a forward and you hit reply to all and responded? I did that once, I bet it is very good way to stop someone from sending you forwards.

Yikes, I am almost on page 2 again!

Its been a busy week at my job but I do not feel all that fulfilled in it at all. I have other stuff kinda ailing me as well, but when I pray Jesus seems to calm my weary soul. Now sometimes I feel it and other times I don't, but I surely appreciate when I do, that good feeling knowing that I can rest my troubles on Him!

Earlier tonight I decided to microwave some theater style popcorn. This turned out to not be such a good idea. I knew that there was going to be trouble when the butter itself was in a pouch and it had the warning do not microwave!

After the popcorn came out of the microwave I poured the butter in. It looked gross from the get go but ended up getting an extra taste of it and going bleah, this is awful!

Needless to say I do not think that I will ever buy this stuff again and will probably think twice the next time that I am in a theater and go to buy popcorn as well!

I think that it is no secret that I have a love for radio. As a hobby I study it, listen to it, make assessments about what radio stations are doing, etc. This brings me to todays post.

The Oldies station in my area has a new afternoon Announcer. This person used to work at the Rhythmic disco station just until it changed to the "we play everything" format. She even used to do some of the voice overs there too. Now she is at Oldies 103.3 doing the afternoon shift which bumped my favorite announcer on the station out. No personal feelings they said, just business.

Now every station has a style or image that all DJ's adhere to. This is how you recognize one station from another. The new announcer has not quite yet fit the style of the Oldies station, in fact she sounds like her normal self but not entirely suited for the station. Just think of it as a lid on a cup not quite fitting and what is not covered spilling out. Now do not get me wrong, I really like this DJ, but she just sounds irritable in the way that she announces there.

This is not the first time where I liked a personality but not a style suited for a station. It happened many years ago when a top 40 station got a new PD and he had all the announcers hype or shout all of their lines.

Anyway, life goes on in the world of radio. That is just my 2 cents.

I had a bad day at work today, ok not too bad but surely not encouraging. See my boss rarely gives a compliment but is almost always quick to point out what I am doing wrong. I believe that he thinks that I am supposed to be a mind reader sometimes. I try my best to do a good job. I just really need a new job, however I really do not have the motivation to look for one at the moment.

Boy, it gets hard to keep up with posting in these blogs...

I am tired, Work was busy this week. I hadn't felt up to posting most of the days this week after work. I Actually fell to sleep around 9:30, then got up around midnite to check forums.

I hadn't been on in a while, but was glad that there was not as many unreads to read as usual. I was still up 'til past 3AM in the morning. I am glad that it is the weekend though.

I wonder what I will do today. I might go see a movie so that I do not end up staying in the house all weekend. Also, it is the end of daylight savings time this weekend, I am happy.

It is supposed to rain today mixed in with some snow. Now its kinda funny, but when weather conditions are overcast, radio stations from far away tend to come in much easier and travel much further than they otherwise do.

Case and point I picked up listening to WBBM 780 from Chicago last night. That was a treat! I would like to visit Chicago again sometime. I have a couple of pictures from there in the CW Topic Friends photo album from my 1992 visit.

Well, that is about it, I hope that everyone is having a good weekend!

Blessings,

Mike

Well, it is time once again for another blog entry. Now what do I write about this time? I have found that using Firefox is much easier on my computer as it does not presently have Macromedia 7.0 downloaded on it. Just something to think about if webpages on Explorer are making your computer choke.

Here it is after midnight where I am sitting here. I have been sleeping a lot during the weekends but finding myself up at the oddest hours. I was on here earlier this morning around 4-5 AM reading up on my forums subscriptions. Last weekend I went to sleep early but then found myself up at midight reading forums until 3AM in the morning as well.

I wonder how many people still follow this blog and find it interesting?

I had a good Bible study last night. It is good studying topics and building relationships. I am finding it hard to keep on topic at times though. One example was someone mentioned that they get their quiet time in during lunch, which my immediate reply is like "they actually give you a lunch?" I do my best to keep on what is being discussed though and do pretty well.

Well, that is it for now, thank you reading and I will catch you again!

Blessings,

Mike

Not too much new to report right now. I had Friday off which was nice to have a day where I did not have to work at all. I do not get paid for Veteran's Day though so it was a mixed blessing.

Things are going better with my boss too for the most part. All and all, I still should find a new job with benefits though.

I saw 2 movies over the past 2 weekends: The Weather Man and Shop Girl. The Weather Man is with Nicholas Cage and was alright. It kinda was a melancholy film.

Shop girl had Steve Martin in it and I ended up enjoying that one a bit better with the exception of a couple of R rated scenes.

I saw my mom yesterday too which went well also. That is about it, another week has gone by.

Until next time,

Cheerio,

Mike

Well, it is Saturday night and time for another blog posting.

Its been a rather quiet day, I raked leaves earlier today. It was a bit of work but worth it. I find that I have been doing a lot of stuff lately that I do not enjoy but that Jesus has been helping me make it through each and every circumstance.

I cannot think of anything else to post right now so I will post more as I think of it.

I haven't been feeling well the last couple of days. My acid-reflux has been acting up, but I am feeling a little bit better at the moment though.

Its time for another blog posting. I just have some random thoughts and happenings on my mind at this posting and here they are:

I found out that I have an ear infection and went to the doctors to get it treated.

I have been signing into forums from Christianity.com more often these days because I like the look of color schemes better and has many less time outs as well.

I really like the TV show Reba.

I really like the song Mary's Boy Child by Boney M as well.

I have been getting into the Christmas mood by listening to Christmas music on the radio.

Dan Folgoberg's Same Old Lang Syne is still a good song.

I am looking forward to this years Christmas card exchange.

And those are all my thoughts for now.

Cheerio,

Mike

When God Rises You Above The Storm.

This past week I was fretting about what I had to do on my job. On Tuesday there was a certain amount of walking around that I was going to have to do which I dreaded. I asked God for strength and then I felt something in my spirit change.

Something empowering with enthusiasm that I will do what is required of me and will look forward to even doing it! At the end of the day not only did I do the amount of delivering that was required but ended up doing more than twice that amount! Needless to say that I was tired but God really did pull me through!

I have found that a real lot of the tasks that I do lately that God has been instilling a vast amount of grace to get those tasks which I dread done and with content-ness as well.

Things that I am thankful for

For peace in my heart.

For a family that loves me.

For Christian friends both online and offline.

For a nice home with Christian landlords/friends.

For God's Grace and provision in my life.

For God loving me!

For Christ dying on the Cross so that I might be saved!

I haven't been feeling the best lately healthwise. My acid reflux has been acting up again and I seem to have some kind of ear infection as well. This is not good but I do not really know what to do about it other than take medicine and trust God will help me through.

I was thinking today about a couple of things that I have both posted recently and in the past about certain rants. I just want to give an update on a couple of things:

*Regarding my rant on the DJ at the new station, I listened to her show again the other day and she is now fitting into the stations persona and image that I was talking about. It was refreshing.

*Regarding Yahoo messenger, I have gotten used to the new format and find myself enjoying it very much now.

There was one other thing that I wanted to post about as well, but I cannot remember what that is right now. Oh well, I will post again as soon as I remember.

I remember the last thing that I wanted to update on. Things are going much better with my boss. They are not perfect by any means, but are going much better. I Praise God for that!

Its time for another entry in my blog. I feel like I have a lot to say and yet it is mostly random thoughts in my head.

My favorite song of the year is Anna Nalick's Breathe (2 AM). It is a song about nothing that you can do about the past, so you might as well Breathe. The chorus is:

'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, now.
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe... just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe

I now find myself forgetting what else that I wanted to say. Oh well, it will come to me.

My new favorite song is called "Save Yourself" by Greg Johnson which a local radio station is playing here. I just found out that this musician doesn't have a record deal in the USA so I guess most people here have not heard it at all. I did a websearch on it though and the song is still getting sporadic airplay in the US anyway.

I really been feeling that I need to cut down on my soda intake, but I do not want to though.

I just wanted to post this about my week. I posted this in the "What Are You Thankful For God Today?" thread as well:

I am thankful for once again for God's provision in my life. I am thankful that He helps me through the difficult things at my job and in my life as well.

Well, I made it through another week. My weekend started with a massive train delay on the Subway this evening where we all ended up having to take shuttle buses from station to station.

It was good though because I ended up talking to a few people during the process. :) Later while I was on the bus I realized something, that I am starting to have life and fuller. I was content with what was going on whereas in the past I would have been very agravated and depressed because of what was going on.

GOD IS GOOD!

My teeth have been bothering me lately. I have a tooth that is broken where the gumline is swollen. I have a dental appointment in 2 weeks. I hope that I can wait that long.
